Harry's done a great job of recording. I thought it was the Funky Farmer behind the camera. Well done Harry, great job!

They look like a good steady crew. Taking care around the buildings. Their kit looks well looked after as well.

Interesting video . I remember back years ago helping on a farm in my summer holidays. Driving a Massy Ferguson Tractor ( I was 10yrs old ) we were hay making at small holding long summer months. Happy days . Stay safe and Crack on .

Shows that they do a thorough job otherwise they wouldn't still be coming twenty years on. Not an easy job in a building either. If love to see more of Samson's and what else their business does if Richard and Samson's had time and were happy too

To stop oxygen. Grass won't ferment in the presence of oxygen.

I'm a townie that finds farming fascinating but I'm curious why silage is stored either in bales, or a clamp shed with roof, or open clamp. Does it make a difference to how well it keeps? Or is it just purely depending on facilities at that farm? Thanks and keep up the good work, I love watching your family and also your mates family, 8 miles away ;)
@thefunkyfarmer4 жыл бұрын
Hi Leyna. Some of it depends on the facilities you have but also how you are going to feed it. Round bales are very useful for feeding to a small number of animals and can be stored anywhere due to the wrap. Clamp silage is cheaper to make but only needed if you have a large amount to make. Hope that helps. Rich
