Thanks!! I love color!! I'm quite into the 16 seasonal color types (based on a person's natural body colors). To make a palette with that system, I think they'd basically stick to only pairing tints with tints for Springs (tints = add white or maybe off-whites to hues = pastels), shades with shades for Summers (shades = add gray to hues), tones with tones for Autumns (tones = add black or maybe other dark colors to hues), hues with hues for Winters (hues are pure). All within similar levels of warm/cool undertone, soft/bright intensity, and light/deep value. For example: a Soft Autumn palette is I guess only tones and/or shades - but only ones that are light to medium value, warm to neutral undertone, and very soft intensity. It can borrow some colors from its neighboring palettes of Soft Summer and Warm Autumn. Soft Autumn borders on Summer and is the most soft, light, subtle, gentle, muted/faded of the Autumns.

At the 4:30~ mark, how did you crop the color palette and allow for the hue/sat adjustment without photoshop making a mask? And for it to only effect the artwork? Thanks!

You use the section or marquee tool to adjust. Try it out on a photo. Just click a circle or rectangle and then adjust any setting.

Saludos
