The White Buffalo Prophecy

This Prophecy of the White Buffalo has been kept within our Magaska Ptesan Wicoti, Hinhan Wicasa Oyate for more than 160 years.
Background
My father was named Mato Gi, Brown Bear, by his Grandfather Tipi Sapa, Black Lodge after his elder brother, Mato Gi, who rode the Bay Horse, Eagle Claws, and slew the White Buffalo Bull, as prophesied.
Tipi Sapa, Philip Deloria received his name from his father, Hinhan Wicasa, Owl Man, after a life-changing Vision Hinhan Wicasa received as a young man of 17 years at Medicine Butte, near what is now Pierre, South Dakota. My Uncle Vine Deloria Jr. describes this Vision, in detail, in his book, Singing for A Spirit,
My Grandfather Vine Deloria Sr, my Uncle Wilfred Cadotte told me this prophecy often, as well as my father, Mato Gi. I heard my father speak on several occasions about this Prophecy with his Elder Brother Henry Spotted Eagle and others when we visited Ihanktowan Territory over the years
Strangely, my 14-year-old son was given the name Mato Gi by his grandfather before he died in 2004. It turns out the latest generation of our Oyate, who carries the name, Mato Gi, was born on August 27, 2000, before the White Buffalo Day was declared to be August 27.
That is why I decided to share the White Buffalo Prophecy today, August 27, 2014. The time for the fulfillment of this Sacred Prophecy of the White Buffalo is now!
My Uncle Vine Deloria Jr. briefly mentions this story of the White Buffalo Prophecy of the Magaska Ptesan Wicoti, Hinhan Wicasa Oyate, Ikanktonwan Oceti Sakowin in his book, Singing for a Spirit.
Many relatives are the direct carriers of the promises of this sacred Prophecy that was fulfilled by Mato Gi', the Bay Horse, Eagle Claws through the spiritual training and guidance of Hinhan Wicasa!
The Hereditary Chieftainship of Hinhan Wicasa was passed on to Tipi Sapa.

He is a great story teller. The Native American teachings are universal... many tribes around the world tell of similar prophecies. Keep the sacred teachings alive so we can save our planet.... The star blanket lit up the sky, and the elders saw and prayed to their ancestors. They cried out for answers. "Why are we left here to starve? What has happened to Tatanka Oyasin (the Buffalo Nation)?" The scouts had traveled very far to search for the once huge herds of buffalo. All of the hunters returned only to report of the same mystery. After many weeks, their greatest hunter set out to find the answer to the mystery. His name was Fire Deer. Fire Deer traveled for many days. Eventually, he came across the massive buffalo stampede tracks that plowed deep into the black soil on the grassy plains. He followed them all the way into the mountains to the west. From there, the tracks headed to the pure north. It was up north where he noticed they went straight up the mountain side. The mountain was the largest and steepest one around. He labored his way all the way to the top of the mountain, expecting to see the great herd. At the top, he found nothing but the end of the tracks. But, the buffalo trail did not end; instead, it changed from the churned up earth to a flowing river of light in the night sky. Fire Deer returned to tell of his story to the elders. The elders announced that the Buffalo were saved from the destruction of the children from overseas. They now live closer to our ancestors in the sky. If you travel up north, you may see them there in a great stampede of colors in the sky. One day, when the Nations of people can live with all the animals in harmony, all of the Buffalo Nation elders - who miss the Earth - shall return.~~~Jack Crow~~~

A few years ago, I am on a different continent, I dreamed of ancestors, wise people, people turning to me and encouraging me with great love. Then there were animals shown, but they weren't from here. I saw your predators, your deer, moose, Buffalo, eagles, then a curled armadillo? I wondered what it was I was seeing. A racoon raised its hands and spoke and explained that without gratitude, community , respect and kindness, none can survive, but we must also be adaptable like this messenger. It was terribly uplifting. If anybody needs to hear this? I've never meat a real racoon, but this one, was extremely powerful in the dream, it was kind, clever and a teacher. I had to google some of these animals, they were real. So this seems to be part of our universal story, I am not young. I'm not somebody who is fashionably psychic, in fact I find it uncomfortable. The armadillo bothered me, it was this disguised thing, I knew it was a creature, but I couldn't tell if it was alright. I was very concerned for it, but the racoon came to explain everything.

I have raccoons on my property. They are highly intelligent, manage to live even in urban areas. They like to wash their food so I keep a pond full of water. Their paws are almost like hands. The armadillo lives in desert places and has lots of armor. Both can be fierce.

I love the Native peoples. We can learn so much from them! My mother grew up on a ranch outside of Pine Ridge. She remembers the Lakota asking her father for permission to camp on his land when they were passing through. He welcomed them. There is a very unique, palpable, sense of the spiritual in the Black Hills. I love it there. No native blood in me, but the spirit is so respected in them. Thank you for carrying on such wisdom and beauty of soul. We are all one under Our Creator. And His son, died for us.

@@Yahshija This is why we can never lose the story tellers of our different ways and from all the different places. Those that tell the stories some call myth and legends, those that tell the true stories of the history they lived through be it good or bad. I got my love of reading, my love of learning about all cultures past and present and my love of history from. Listening to my elders as a kid. The stories of the so called myths and legends from my grandma and great great aunt, but also from those in the neighborhood where I grew up that was a very multicultural neighborhood. But also the true history each of them lived through, much like in so many times before were of the cruelty that man can to to fellow man. A history that for eons we have repeated over and over. But with each generation that has been willing to sit, listen and learn, more people become awakened and instead of teaching hate pass on what we were taught and what we have learned. I agree with him finally the old systems that are not inline with mother earth and how we were meant to be are falling away and we are watching it's death throws. I'm 58 I see this in my kid and my grandson. I watch as the old systems crumble and see what seems to be people more divided than ever. Watch as there are those that try to take us all backwards, to try to control everyone but they don't realize there is no going back I believe in coexisting I don't believe in forcing another to be put under the foot of another. There has been much that has been off balance for much much to long, but things kept down now refuse to be kept under. In my way of believing there is both the Devine Feminine and the Devine Masculine and for to long the Devine Feminine was held prisoner, she has awoke both live inside each of us, it's what gives balance, some are trying to take us to far the other way and that does not serve a good thing either. There is much more but that's enough said. Sometimes we need to be involved and not leave everything up to the schools but must step in and be sure to teach our children as well. To teach them balance and truth and light. Not darkness and hate. To teach by example and love yes the unconditional love we have for them but also the love we have for others. How to reconnect to both earth and source.

My Dad, a WWII combat veteran, used to make the observation that cultures around the world may have had different ways of believing, but they all believed in something. What a wonderful story. A few years ago. I was driving for work. A story came into my eyes about a baby buffalo calf. I spoke a story that came from inside and I cried searing hot tears. I felt lost yet hopeful i would find my family. I thought and felt like a baby buffalo calf for a moment. It was scary and unknowing....since that day. Ive begun my journey on the red road. The depth of feeling this message brings out is something that often overwhelms me. I feel the love for every person around me as far as I can see or imagine. When it comes I go with it and offer up prayers for all of them. My heart cries for all the lost and lonely ones that have separated themselves from our creator. That think nothing out there cares at all for them. I care. I CARE! HE cares! All the Earth and everything on it is loved and nurtured. Those that have passed from this world are missed, but new life will always be returned to the Earth. We have to remember WE are a part of the Earth. not its master. The lesson we must learn is to care for one another as well as the Earth or we will be removed and new life will follow. What will be our final destination? I don't have a clue, but our father has promised something so great we cannot imagine it. Thank you so much sir. I once knew a Lakota elder of the Pine Ridge, it was years ago. But I never sat down with her to actually talk and learn. I was in a much different place then. I learned more from listening to you during this video than I did from a Full-Blooded native medicine man that I spent 20 years with. Looking back, I feel that I would have learned from her as well. An incredible parable that is not just told but seen in the natural world. I for one appreciate the accuracy of both this parable and prophecy. It is so very appalling that the American government did not honor their treaties with this honorable people-even if they were the judgement of God. that does not give us the right to treat them worse because of God's judgment against them. i love that god is blessing the world with so many white buffalo's this time. may the buffalo nation arise and and may they be used of God to create a moment in the history of entering into globalism that allows people who do not worship the creator to enter into change and worship of the creator and his son.

Thank you for sharing this story, it is very touching. I have always had close connection to animals, and a friend of mine shared this video. Animals all have their messages, and I have gone through some rather tough lessons in learning that. Especially concerning the crows and owls. Literally had a barred owl flying overhead following me on a walk one time, and the experience never left me. Could only imagine what seeing a white buffalo would feel like as seeing a regular one already exudes a sense of power.

i would like to share this i had talked to an elder....... he told me of these events that have gotten worse in the past 5 yrs. more frequent tornadoes and in places they were never seen,more floods and in places they would'nt "normally" be,more "waterspouts" that are showing up to cause more floods,more snow in places not normally seen,more volcanoes and earthquakes and also in places they would'nt "normally" be,more viscious fires in very particular places,more droughts.........and so on he told me years ago about this message he was given by the Grandfathers....he was approached in a dream by the Tornado Spirit. he said it scared him because of the size("it was huge!!" he says) then as He came down He slowly turned into an old man. the Grandfather told him that The Creator sent out 4 Grandfathers to go out and start the beginning of the cleansing.He said some of the 4 Grandfathers did'nt want to go but they have to because they work for the Creator and they have to. they were the Fire spirit,the Wind Spirit,the Water Spirit and Mother Earth. he said that some will work together and also alone...and as we can plainly see (well provided we are'nt completely blindfolded) that is exactly what is happening right as you read this... there were 4 races of peoples that were at the beginning. they were appointed guardianship. each had their own. white people had the fire. the brown people had the land ,black people had the water and the yellow people had the air....we were granted by The Creator to do whatever we wanted but were also given teachings to go along with these gifts. the weaker peoples took what they were given and did exactly that,which is whatever they wanted to do with it.....and as history shows us,it is where we are now......you don't have to be super smart or geniuses to know,all you do is open your eyes and ears.The Creator granted us these gifts and also granted us a very beautiful planet to live on. .............................we have destroyed ourselves and our lives,we disrupted the very fabric of life,we take things without gratitude and offer nothing. we think we know more then what Created us and for these reasons there will be consequences.and like i said before,all you have to do is open your eyes to see and listen with your ears, cause its happening now... and what this man says about the Eagle wings......that is so true .......personally i know nothing except what The Creator allows me to know..... we all need to allow That Higher Power (for me? - The Creator) back into our lives.....

2 White Buffalo were born in Colorado recently! Only they are NOT Albino! Their eyes are not Pink, they have regular brown eyes. One is smaller than the other and whiter too! I thought the larger one would get browner as he got older, but he's just turned a bit yellow. They are beautiful and the smaller ones stays closer to momma. I Love them. One, the larger buffalo came up to the fence to me and I got some terrific photos!

I can further explain here to Mr. Phil Jr. that I’ve always been very much interested in your culture and your teachings. I am of Germanic and Gaelic descent. Obviously I grew up in a catholic household and I know of what your people went through when the “missionaries” established schools upon your sacred lands as I also have gone through some of the very same unspeakable terror. I feel very empowered some days and feel defeated the next due to their “practices” of vile imposition. I must forgive to move on and I do. I once gave what I thought was an original gift to a boyfriend that I had in the early 1990s. He is half Lakota and half German and he was adopted by a Dutch family from Minnesota. At the time, I was unaware of his adoptive family’s interest in raising him to be absolutely biased towards both of his ethnicities. I bought for him a birthday present of a book on cassette tape of how to learn his Lakota language. I was present for his birthday party at his parents house. I was beaming with pride and delight as he was opening my gift. He opened it, looked at it, showed it to his family and they all busted out in laughter. He then threw it in the trash right in front of me. I was beyond hurt. As my people came here during the gold rush era - although neither you or I were here at that time, I still feel the need to apologize. Thank you for your videos. Thank you for the stories that you tell of your people as I find them to be most beautiful and most informative. Although I do not have any deep cultural ties to both of my heritages, I am deeply moved by yours and I hope to learn more from you even though, time is very short. Last month I had a dream about a white buffalo. I saw a forrest with many animals and they were playing with each other. I saw a wolf come from the back and he was sneaking into the forrest from the back. I was watching a red buffalo playing he was so playful. He caught my eye he also caught the eye of the wolf as well. Slowly the wolf started to go into the forrest and started to follow the buffalo. But now the buffalo turned yellow. In my mind I said buffalo come here next to me you are in danger. Then I felt someone next to me when I looked it was the buffalo next to me but now he was white and all the animals were next to me. The wolf eventually ended up in front of me but below me where me and the animals were watching him from above from a cliff looking at him below us. He couldnt hurt us and then I woke up. A couple days ago I had a dream of ravens flying, hundreds of them, I was sitting and looking at them all fly. Then they all landed near me. This one raven landed right next to me and rubbed against me, comforting and loving me, he was purring almost what it sounded like. Like bird purring. He then went on my lap and huddled into me. I was petting him, and he was rubbing his head against my stomach and fell asleep, the other ravens watched and walked around the field. The dream then ended. I sense something good will come.

I have heard a pair of Kookaburras "purr" in that way, many years ago when they came to my cooking fire to introduce me to their baby. The three sat together on a gum tree, close by, with the baby in between its parents. They are the ones who taught me that birds can and do purr! Your story is beautiful. It brought back that special day with the Kookaburras for me, and made me wonder if perhaps that raven wasn't offering you some sort of protection and safety. How beautiful. What a blessing.

In pagan symbology, from what I recall, ravens are the messengers into and from the night and hence the beyond, so I would perceive this dream as the ability to work with your spiritual guides, perhaps one in particular, who maybe connects you with others, due to your hunger for spiritual food, denoted by the raven purring by your stomach. It is now vital that we long for truth, wisdom and guidance, and it is essential to do this by always being at your post in thoughts, and so do so with a pure heart, so you can become an empty vessel, whose longing attracts these guides, who can then use their spiritual spears to help men, in their hour of need, through you, for then you are service for and to the whole, as a new time of spiritual revival arises from the ashes of the old ways. This has touched my heart. I have never been religious...but always spiritual...loving all life. I wish I knew more of the teachings and beliefs of the Native American peoples. I wish I could be one of you.

I just changed last month from Christian to just being spiritual. I feel so free now and so happy getting away from the Christian faith has given me perspective on the true meaning of loving all.

Imagine as a parent not to have to ever worry about your children .The ceremonies show them how to love living while surrounded by Aunties that would die for you. The storytellers are keeping the universe together.We're not here for ourselves. We're to rebalance the universe.

Thank You ... all of you who brought this Prophecy story here and to each person who played their role in the keeping of this story ... (I'm forgetting the name of the man telling the story ... he deserves great honor for this sharing). It is time for the elders and the wise both women and men, from all lands, all cultures ... to Stand and not only speak but lead. This is done in part by telling the important stories. May we see and recognize the wisdom and use it in our actions toward each other from all over Our world and remember to Love not just humans but all life. We are All in this together ... Love and Peace to All, In time this will Occur
