It's taken me a bit to get around to reviewing my Medicom MAFEX Into the Spider-Verse Peter B. Parker but it's good to get another Spider-Man on the shelf, especially one that's not quite the shape of most of my other Spidey action figures.

From what I can tell with the difference in blues, the arms and lower legs are molded in red plastic, with blue paint. The rest of him is blue plastic, so the slight shine and more vibrant colors is just how its plastic is I love this figure, and I think he goes great with Medicom’s Miles Morales. I still stand by that figure, and argue his skinniness and shortness is movie accurate. The Legends one is oversized IMO

Been anxiously awaiting your next review. For your next playday (or any future one period) you should definitely pick up the wired cloth cape GPSlot made for the Marvel Legends MCU Mysterio. It just arrived for me yesterday and it's incredible, so much detail work and looks super dynamic. Plus since I live in the UK it was amazing that it arrived period with things going on.

Not only is this a great representation of the character from into the spiderverse, but it gives me nostalgia for that wrestler spiderman figure from the first movie where you were able to swap parts and have him as wrestler spiderman, or superhero spiderman.

Fun fact for customizers. Marvel legends Peter B parker, i never realized his feet can be pulled off similar to his hands, and if you have 2, you can give one a pair of sneakers or a pair of boots and they don't look half bad.

If anyone has problems with its inconsistent lines with the wash, get a black wash and a shit ton of quips. I used an acrylic wash on the mafex comic spidey and it took it from 10 to 11 with how it looks

I've been looking forward to this one. Such a great figure, Mafex definitely has the best soft goods in the scale. They're probably my favourite import company now after so many disappointments from Figuarts. My Mafex Far From Home Spidey just shipped, on to the next one!

Very solid release from MAFEX; I loved this character in the movie. My only gripe with the figure is that they chickened out with Peter's gut; he definitely looked more out of shape in the movie and that's the whole point of this version.

It looks great, it would've been a cool addition if they had added the comic book that was plastered on the screen when each of the character would talk about their "origin" story that lead them to where they currently are in the film. Great review as always Robo

Will say for the webs on the suit, I prefer the webs indented into the costume. If the webs are raised or painted on then scrapping is a problem.

I've seen that you have some (or all?) of the Marvel Legends retro wave of Spider-Man figures. Did you review them and I missed it somehow? Also, how did this figure not come with a bagel?!

My only issue with this figure is the black wash they used for the lines in the costume. That paint is gonna rub off of the figure if you play too much with it. Miles has the same problem, one of my arms has no silver lines anymore because of that lol.

I was so down with these mafex into the spider verse figuers but now I gotta wait for sentinal. I can only really justify spending 100+ on a figure a couple times a year and mafex is just to hit or miss I gotta wait for all the options to come out.

I hope that if the wandavision characters are in an actual wave that we get Steve Rogers iron man from what if as it unless they do something in falcon and the winter soldier that would warrant a bigger figure I know not all build a figures are big but lately it’s been at least taller than a normal human height

I think the lower legs are casted in red and the blue is painted ... I saw red plastic inside the peg hole ... maybe that’s why The blues don’t Match ... the same might be the case ok the arms ...or maybe in just wrong 🤷🏻‍♂️

Mafex obviously has a huge issue with very sloppy pain in every figure. Neca is way cheaper and their paint is usually clean. I hate that mafex doesn’t correct it

:I don't think NECA is the company you want to use to talk about paint, their paints are way too thick and they paint over areas that should be color cast instead of painted.. which leads to cracking.. they even do this on joints sometimes! It's really infuriating.

I'd really like to see these companies paint the "bracelet", for lack of a better term, on the web lines red to match the suit so it will look more like it's just shooting out of that spot on his wrist/hand. The 🎶BRIGHT WHITE🎶 loop looks kinda terrible.

I hate when they sculpt webbing onto suits that don't visibly have raised/indented webbing in the source material, almost always ends up making the webbing look grimy, this one especially so, unless that's just a qc issue that isn't consistent across copies. Also has color mismatch that could rival marvel legends, which is really really irritating considering the price.

I like them a lot! But am so scared to pose them. 😔 I was able to get my Myles and Peter in a cool pose without breaking them. It’s probably how they will stay. Great review!

I believe it’s pronounced “may-fex” as opposed to “ma-fex” haha. great review though!! i personally thought miles was better than peter b parker just die to the quality control issues i saw with peter. I picked up miles and love him !
