Chewy: Looks surprised he's back, he knows his brothers are pegwarming in local Targets across America. And Hondo, He knows he is just awesome. It's like Hasbro loves taking steps backs when they go in the right direction. That 2018 photoreal was amazing. This past wave with Obi, Ezra and Aphra have disgustingly shiny faces.

I now want a clone wars version of Honda. With a blaster, sword, and either his monkey thing or a magna guard electro staff.

The First Order set feels like the one that packs the most bang for the buck. New mouse droid, new Mountain Trooper, serious repaint for Pyre and even Kylo is a sort of frankenstein figure from previous releases right?

Yeah I felt the same way about this set. Gotta have Hondo, don’t mind another Chewy. And dam it they found away to make me buy another Rey. Oh and the Porgs are okay too I guess.

That Rey kinda looks more like Aubrey Plaza than Daisy Ridley.

Man, how is Hasbro NAILING Marvel Legends but just failing when it comes to Black Series?

I love how Hasbro just knows the characters people would want the most, Hondo goes in a pack with 2 repacked figures and more Porgs that no one asked for, DJ Rex goes with a repack of 3 old droid figures (BB-8 at least is a bit harder to go for newcomers so he's cool, hell R2 and 3PO aren't super easier to get your hands on as of late either), and well the first order pack has 2 new figures so thats cool, although I don't know what connection Pyre has to Galaxy's Edge or what even a Mountain Trooper is but their new troopers and me like new troopers. Overall these packs are a bit EHHHHHHH to me but I can't lie to myself, I NEED that Hondo and I will most definitely get it whenever I head over to Disney next.

Hondo manages the Smuggler's Run attraction at Galaxy's Edge. the way Galaxy's Edge works is that it exists wherever the movies are currently in the continuity. that means that since we're currently between The Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker that's where Galaxy's edge is. and after Rise of Skywalker the park will change slightly so that it exists after Rise of Skywalker. so Hondo living through all three trilogies and currently working with the resistance is canon.

I am strictly collecting the 3.75" Star Wars, but i have to agree that Hondo looks incredible, well done Hasbro.

That Rey head looks perfect for immediately after her Force-Hole-Seaweed vision where she got drenched. And that Hondo looks perfect for my heart. The 2-and-a-half (or 2-and 2-fifths?)pack-ins just make this all the more profitable. Hondo would be proud.

Rey still looks awful. Hasbro can’t get her right. Hondo is the prize in the pack. So in essence this is a $70 Hondo since most of us will already have Rey/Chewie. Thanks for reviewing. I hope to get this someday.

All of these characters are at Batuu. So everything in the cash grab sets are at Galaxy’s Edge. So it’s a repeat for standard collectors of this product but guests of park get a full set of characters they encounter at the park. The 3-PO has hinged and bicep swivels. There are perks in each set. Not $70 perks but perks.

Definitely picking this up just for Hondo, although, I do wish Hasbro would add the same level of articulation to the black series as they do to Marvel Legends.

Robo, you need a crash course on DJ R3X (originally RX-24). Watch a ride video of the original Star Tours for RX-24 (in his original blue color) as the pilot. The re-do of Star Tours moved the time frame back to between trilogies and RX-24 is now seen in the queue line as a recalled, malfunctioning, defective pilot droid (here he's red) that's about to be returned to the manufacturer. Now he's been renamed DJ-R3X (repainted orange and his face has been reworked a bit) and he's the house DJ at the park's cantina. His voice in all incarnations is provided by Paul Reubens (or better known as Pee-Wee Herman).

if you look closely I think the sad porg is the exact same mold as the standing porg from the original set just with different paint aps for the face. you can see the original molded detail for the mouth.

It just clicked, Hasbro made all those Porg sculpts at once and were probably going to release them as a pack, but noticed that two of them had a far better aesthetic then the other two, so they decided to save them for something else.... Man... the more I look into it the angrier I get at Hasbro for cheaping out with a 70$ exclusive pack.

For me, Hondo will always be from the Clone Wars. Putting him anywhere else seems wrong.

@6:03 Seriously, What is with that shiny sheen of shiny sheenliness that totally distracts from the PhotoReal quality? Here when you hold them side by side,the shine actually destroys any advantage it may have to where I honestly prefer the non-photoreal simply because she her face matches the rest of her body and doesn’t look like Palpatines have some weird genetic defect of excess sweat glands on the face but nowhere else. Has Hasbro ever explained why the newer ones all have this annoying shine? The first few waves with PhotoReal did not look like Speed Addicts so this has to be something new that they need to STOP. They were just starting to get almost as good as some Figuarts releases - so of course they have to go an screw with it somehow. Can you ask your insiders? And also please tell them to please release a properly scaled R2-D2 and an IG-88 for the Empire 40th and a variant with new pincers and paint ops for an proper scaled IG-11. Figuarts showed a kick arse IG-11 so Hasbro will realize they can too. Of course Figuarts R2 still has not even a frantic fevered whisper of a new improved R2/Astromech sculpt anywhere close to Figuarts quality so remind them they more than. Are their money off the suck @$$ Astromech sculpt so we’re wayyyy overdue for an update (and for Snoke’s sake make the sensorscope and other gadgets integrated with the dome like Kenner’s 1980 R2 instead of pop off easily lost doodads that never get included with other variants. Argh, sorry to get on my Astromech rant but...it’s necessary until they listen! Arrggjjj! ;-)
