I’m not a professional keyboardist/pianist/organist, I’m just below average, but I don’t know why I find it overly satisfying to watch videos like this, explaining things I know I can’t even fathom doing on the keys yet 😂🤌🏾🔥

This is great! In the shorts version, the piano keyboard is covered up by text that makes it hard to see, just fyi! Thanks so much for doing these!

It's amazing that if we listen closely to the progression he played here, we can literally hear "great" "is" "thy" "faithfulness" in terms of chords.

Great info. You can also just simplify and do the secondary dominant of the target chord (V7 of x without going to the II -V7 of x). This gives you variety. Sometimes use the II -V7 transition, sometimes just a V7 transition.

This reminds me of the 1st time I saw a transcript of music by Steely Dan. I can barely grasp it, but it sounds so sweet on my ears

I very much like how you explain technique and that you use C for simplicity to carry us to learn other keys!! Keep it up🙏

Your talkin minor 2 5 1 but you are not playing that your playing Eminor #11 A7b9 gminor 6 #11 to d minor6 sndfrankly as usual gospel is a bunch of diminished chords half or fully all disguised in major and minor names ,it just has to have a discontent sound. Always can’t even do a dminor with out making it a 6 and guess what a.,minor 6 is just a half diminished chord Gospel is always over kill of diminished chords it gets old so fast

2-5-11 in the key of c is d-g-c???? what are you talking about? ok I never look at it like that that is the actual 3-6-2 in the major scale of C.
@teachingmuzik36416 күн бұрын
What he means is E-A is the 2-5 of D, which is where you're going. So you use the 2-5 of your destination chord (D). He talks a bit fast, but sometimes it's better to slow the speed to really understand. (I just happened to understand, because I'm a music teacher. Otherwise, I would have been lost, too.)
