This isn’t “timber hunting” this is putting your blind on the edge of a rice field, that boat ride in was probably just for the sponsors. Usually a side by side will get you to that spot.

You're right that we are on the edge of the rice, however this spot is much easier to get to by boat. the blind is backed against a river channel.
