I use triangle patterns regularly and mix it up with 1, 2 touches in the middle of the park. Good quality video

It will work. I use R1 as Sprint and R2 as Finesse. L1 = Trigger Player Run & R2 = Call Player Short

People try and get easy opponents by taking ls so it's not. Your luck it's how broken the match making is

EA needs to implement the sheffield utd tactic attacking CB. you just cant do it as it is now with any formation or tactic it can’t be done unless you play the ball to the CB and use L1 when pressing X on PS4 when passing to the LWB/LM they really need to make gameplay more realistic with realistic better runs away and towards the ball i don’t use unrealistic skills move i like the gameplay realistic like most skills in game now is just unrealistic

use your L1 to triger your players to attack while R2 to call them short

I hate that the game doesn't encourage or even allow for a more realistic style of play, it feels more like just a puzzle game that forces the player to play in a very specific (and not very attractive) way in order to be competitive.

It's because you do it while sprinting. Let go off the sprint button and he will do a McGeady. - TaZz

I play with personalised controls. I switch the R1 with R2. So I run with R1. As I switch controls I cannot call my players short. Anyone has this prob?

I don’t understand how you call players short or make them run if the controls are L1 and R1, my players always try to do a drag back or la croqueta or a different skill move whenever i try to do it.

I can't defend when the CPU crosses from the wing. They just score everytime but it never happens online

when CPU is crossing, hold the Triangle to call the keeper snd soon as the CPU heads the ball release the button the keeper is blocking more space then if he stays on the line only do this when you don’t have more then 1-2 Defender. if you have 3-5 in tye box use the shooting button not the crossing button it gives you more power then using cross button
