For a personal project one of our new employees (Riley) decided to build a Rainbow Six Blitz shield! Using lots of cold rolled steel, plasma cutting, welding, and a bunch of electronics, we have something VERY similar to the one in the game! Make sure you're subscribed to see the video when we test it out at an airsoft match -- and then actually shoots it at a gunrange!

As a rainbow six siege fan and player, I totally appreciate what the hack smith built. At six invitational we can see many fan art pieces for the operatirs’s gadgets. To see a 100% functional gadget puts a huge smile on all faces. Keep up the hard and amazing work

Kermit The Frog para bellum is the smoothest playing season in like 2 years. The last one to play yhis well was like velvet shell. Villa is amazing, ajd even with 60 rooms the map doesnt feel overwhelming or too big.

I mean, the Blitz shield's flash does have a limited number of uses, doesn't it? I guess you could say it has to do with the LED modules overheating or something, so this one isn't that far away from the one in the game.

Erick Eudave Blitz uses phosphorus solution which works just as flashbangs. Thats why it doesnt work consistlently.

Intelligent people... They know the difference between "bullet-proof" and "bullet-ressistant." You guys just earned a sub.

@@hoar2340 Bullet proof means that it will stop bullets (small arms fire), period. Bullet resistant means that it will stop *some* bullets, limited either by caliber or durability. The front of an M1A2 Abrams is bulletproof; rifle/HMG rounds will not get through that frontal armor. A SWAT van is bullet resistant; there are rifles that will punch through without significant trouble.

Instead of that handle on the bottom, you could probably screw in a sling that goes over your shoulders to help take the weight of the shield off of your arm. Real historical shields did similar things.

Just 1 note about - "if it's as easy to flip the shield to it's side and fire at the enemies" you're talking about a German SWAT buff guy who has trained for years upon years and has abs which could bounce bullets probably. What's easy for him will be near impossible for normal average people. Awesome video anyways! LOVE IT!!! Thanks for making it Guys, don't forget to like the video :D

Yea that's definitely one thing a lot of maker KZfaqrs forget to take into account, the fact that sometimes the USER is the problem, not the tech. But I prefer to look at it like he's testing how hard it for normal people to wield the shield as opposed to testing if the shield works at all.

The reason almost everything from Rainbow Six Siege is actually realistic and you can make them work irl is because Ubi hired a gadget realism guy or something to make sure the gadgets are realistic. Boom. The more you know.

So this is awesome. Seriously, this is just a make it real project that's actually viable for real usage. It might be a good idea to compare the lumen output to that of a flashbang. American SWAT teams already use shields like this, and the portable flashbang might not be bad as well. Just saying lol.

Its not quite practical in its current steel form and even im doubtful of its usefulness in real situations. We are taking it airsofting soon and firing bullets at it to test durability. Im convinced if we could replicate it from a titanium allow it would be wieldable and more bullet resistant

Useful or not it's still awesome. If it is actually bullet proof it's not a half bad idea. It also might be an idea to have someone who is used to typical ballistic shields to see how they are able to handle it. Titanium is obviously better, and it's obviously more expensive.
