As your thumbnails states how most men can't do this kind of work, most men cower to their garage or another room in the house aka "man cave". My man cave is my whole house. If men would act like men, they'd be better at maintaining and fixing things instead of placing their jewels in their wife's handbag.

I can do this type of work, been doing handyman/property maintenance for about 10 years now and cover electrical, joinery, Decorating, plumbing and Gardening/Grounds work. I’m never out of work, I’m learning all the time, there’s nothing I won’t try and learn now, if you seek out the best people for each trade and learn from those people who are willing to teach you the best ways to do things then you’re on to a winner. Don’t forget the people that helped you along the way though, a few crates of beers here and there go a long way when you need to ask them to divulge some of their valuable knowledge in a fix! I choose my hours, choose my days, I’m booked up for months in advance and wake up loving what I do! 😊

I have a handyman business in Oregon also. I’m a pretty skilled carpenter and definitely do good work, but you really open my eyes as to why I wasn’t making very good money. You are so fast and efficient at everything you do. It made me realize how much time I waste throughout the day. Just wanted to tell you thank you. Since I’ve been watching your channel. I’ve gotten a lot faster at the small projects and it’s really helped my business a lot.

You only need one program start time at 7pm. Each program start time runs all of the zones on that program. Since all three start times are set at 7pm, it effectively does the same thing as just setting start time 1 at 7pm and leaving start times 2 and 3 blank/off.

that and 90 degree close elbows. put one at wall and one on back of dryer, run the hose up and back down in an arch shape. not those are not ideal for air flow, nor is the big arch of vent hose. but better than smashed flat or ripped off.

many people will build the door/windows headers up against the wall top plate, then standard frame above up tp the header. that makes it easier to modify later on, for window/door changes. I just re-did mine that way and made sure no electrical was below the large picture windows. some day if I want a sliding door, I can just cut it open and install, no need to worry about headers and load.

I buy that weatherstripping on Amazon, $20 for 40ft. I have a number of homemade barn doors, both slidding and hinged and this stuff works great so at this point I just keep it on hand. All it needs is a 1/4-3/8" deep kerf cut and you can install it anywhere. Table saw blade width is easier to work with, but the current standard skilsaw keeg is workable, just a bit tight, matbe a better hold actually.

Tin snips and a filter tray. Slot the filter into the return laying on its side like a CD into a radio. You’d just have to change the size of the filters you use to match the dimension of the duct. Some duct tape to flash around the lips of the tray and you’re done. I’ve seen it done before by buddies who specialize in HVAC firsthand.

You asked how to make changing the return air filter ? Can you not modify that lower door .make a slotted door just wide of the filter size with a long piano hinge and make an easy access latch . When my dad retired, he did a few handyman jobs for some of the elderly widows in my grandmother's neighborhood. They paid ridiculously well (he charged $25/hr and they usually gave him a $100 tip), and he had to eventually stop taking calls because so many people started reaching out to him that he couldn't enjoy his retirement. No hard jobs: change light fixture, replace blown bulbs, change a sink faucet, put up a closet shelf, etc. A LOT of people have no idea how to maintain or fix things, so there's plenty of money to be made.... IF you are a person of principles who will treat people fairly. Good word of mouth = career!

I hope they don't shove that drier back into the vent. Maybe put a stop behind it. You should have your dog traveling with you!

Obviously he can’t bring his dog into other people’s houses. So the alternative is to leave the dog in the hot truck? Nah… leave the pooch home until fall and winter.

I’m an un-handy man, but love watching your videos. Should the dryer vent be replaced every year or so?

No but it should be cleaned for build up of lint especially longer run ones

I'm a handyman in the central valley and most people want me to do everything for cheap. I only advertise and work in the nice part of town but still people don't want to pay what I want. If I got $1,500 for all that you did, I would be doing very well. I try charging more but then I don't get work.
