Kue Talam Abon | Steamed Coconut Floss Pandan Cake
One of my family favorite snacks: Talam Abon, or some call it Gandus cake, Mentuk cake, etc. The point is, this cake is really delicious, soft, and tasty. Its super moist texture is also perfect for the toddler snack menu, guys, but make sure not to add chili topping hehe.
Ok, here’s the recipe, I hope it’s useful.
Ingredients
* 250 grams or about 16 ½ tbsp Rice Flour;
* 60 grams or about 4 tablespoons Tapioca Flour;
* ½ tsp or about 3 grams Fine Salt;
* 1 liter of coconut milk solution from 1 coconut or 250 ml of thick Kara instant coconut milk mixed with water to a volume of 1 liter;
* 2 tbsp Creamer powder, optional;
* 2 to 3 Pandan sheets, tie a knot;
* Sufficient shredded chicken, about 80 grams
* 2 tablespoons fried shallots, to taste;
* Red chili slices, to taste;
* Celery leaves, to taste;
* Roasted sesame, optional.
