The seven double letters, ones with 2 sounds represent the moving up and down the tree of life. In Sefer Yetzirah they discuss the double pronunciation of each.

With the help of DeepL: "I am thankful for this ministry of yours to help me get started in Hebrew, and truly hope that I can get a little closer to God by understanding more of His word each day, and may the LORD lift up His face to you and bless you!" I whole-heartedly agree. I must admit: your method of teaching is just right for this ministry. Thank you.

Hi very good explanation.. can you tell me if the Hebrew we are speaking or what your teaching is same exact language of what patriarchs spoke in old testament??
@TheHebrewBible
@TheHebrewBible Жыл бұрын
In short yes, but it's not that simple. The the language has evolved, as also the alphabet, vocabulary, grammar, even within the period of Biblical history, and the vowel points were added during 6th-9th centuries AD.

Do you have a video explaining the different forms or where the vav sound like waw? vav & waw... (ו)
@TheHebrewBible
@TheHebrewBible 5 ай бұрын
No. Israelis pronounce it vav. Baghdadi and Yemeni Jews pronounce it as waw. The Tiberians apparently used both, with rules for which pronunciation applies when.

Isn't the "tav" pronounced as the English "th" as in BeTHel, or ShibboleTH?

The thing that troubles me are the different letters for the same sound. Why do most languages add such confusions of redundancy? Makes it excessively hard to learn! The Greek alphabet could nearly be cut in half if they only had one letter for E!

Brother we know that ALEPH is name of G-D. Actual numerical value of ALEPH is 1. But when it splits completely (ALEPH,LAMEDH,PHE). It becomes numerical value is 111. But I have one doubt on this. PHE is written in final form, but why it's taken as 80 numerical value instead of 800. Please clarify me brother.
@TheHebrewBible
@TheHebrewBible 2 жыл бұрын
The letter פ has the value of 80. But its final form (sofit) ף has the value 800 in Mispar Gadol. Please check torahcalc.com/gematria/

Brother it shows numerical value 111 in mispar hechrachi but as you said mispar gadol it shows 831 numerical value. What is the difference between these two systems.

One has to wonder if the inventors of the language tried hard to make it more complex than necessary. Why is there Sopheet letter forms at all? There seems to be absolutely no reason whatsoever except to complicate things!

They aren't begardkefart; there are no 'r's in begadkefat. It is pronounced beg-add-kef-at. As regards the dagesh, I have never been able to understand why we talk about a dagesh (Hebrew) lene or forte (Latin). Why not stick to the Hebrew and call them dagesh kal and dagesh chazak?
