When our family got COVID a couple of months ago (Delta I would assume), the kids were affected for roughly two days, my wife and I for about the same. I suppose at some point we are just going to accept that this virus, along with every other virus and influenza is here to stay and will just keep on evolving - life just has to go on regardless I suppose. Closing the school was very difficult for our kids, I hope that doesn't happen again. Thanks again for the humor relief, you guys have been fantastic through the whole thing.

In reply to this video and the other one where you were saying "What were we thinking, back when we used to go to work sick?" I just want to say that we used to not think that sickness equals death. We used to think it just meant putting up with some inconvenience, but we went to work and play because everyone believed that it's better to go to work (and even get sick from coworkers) and get that project done by the deadline, than to stay home and miss the big deal and have to lay poeple off. Sick just meant discomfort, not death. And now we're getting back to the same idea- society can't continue on long-term fearing death with every other thought. We are all ready to live again, with just a little bit of "come what may" because every factor of life has inherent risks.

In 2 years, I haven't so much as had a tickle in my throat until a few days ago. I was like, this might be it. I might finally have it. Got tested, but no not Covid. Strep test came back positive, though. I think I had begun to forget over the last two years that other illnesses and viruses existed.

Was looking for music about living with long COVID - I feel so alienated from the world. And left behind. But I’m also a parent and was terrified about my daughter. (Of a kid who only wants to watch Encanto.) This made me laugh. Thanks for this. I even got it without leaving. My kid got it from school - and her teacher said it was over. While I was actually still UNCONSCIOUS FROM IT. I couldn’t believe I got an email complaining that my daughter was acting out for saying COVID still exists and complaining I didn’t reply very fast while she knew I wasn’t actually able to. Proud of my kid for standing up for herself. All she did was mask - quietly. She was being told no more. My kid refused to de-mask and was forced to defend at five why she wanted to take care of her mom. Who was dying quietly at home because hospitals were full. It’s so weird how this is all playing out. She learned what a stroke was yesterday, too. My blood pressure was never an issue before January but I went to an arcade for three hours Sunday and my BP climbed to 230/150. Repeated it several times. Never the max again but close. Assume it’s broken. SO used it - he’s fine. Go to Walgreens. They test. It’s that high. They say he can take me or they’re calling a thousand dollar Uber so I bought water and snacks because hospital waits. Had a stroke in triage. Life for everyone I knew was normal. The cat got mad though. When I was home, I caught my kid crawling in next to me and pressing her face against my back. I learned that she does this when she’s scared I won’t be able to wake up again. And we’re still continuing on! It really is the elephant in every room. Anyway thanks for the laughs. Bruno was definitely my favorite. :)

An RN friend & her family had natural immunity from the first covid version, then got double vaxxed, and still got omicron, with two of them hospitalized. I think shutting down the fear is probably the appropriate response at this point. Numbers have been dropping like a rock at my school since this video was made, and people seem to be building up a nice natural immunity to fear tactics in addition to COVID, so hopefully that will serve us well in the years to come.

Just went to a Parent Teacher Council meeting at my kids school today, we spent about a third of the time talking about covid. Encouraged them to add a virtual option for tonight's meeting and they did. So as tiring as it is, keep talking about it because that's how we keep fighting this awful virus that we all want to just be done with. Thanks for speaking up!

Holy shit, why is this so accurate? Also you have a good voice, nice job lol! Yeah, I'm confused too, I guess because it's "not as severe" we're not as worried or taking as many precautions? Also Covid fatigue sadly. I'm still being cautious and mostly wearing my mask in public (unless I'm eating) though I confess to not wearing one a few times... I definitely make sure to wear my mask when I'm working because I work a cash register and have to interact with a lotta people (fortunately there's also a glass pane in front of me so that helps too). So many people come into the place where I work without masks, including my coworkers. I've been vaxxed and I got the booster but sadly I did get Omicron shortly before I got the booster so that totally sucked and I was super careful not to spread it to the rest of my family, especially my aging parents whom I live with. Fortunately they both have all their vaccines so even if they did get it, it wouldn't be too bad but thankfully they didn't get it and for me it was just like having a bad cold I suppose. Still, best to be cautious and do your best not to get it! As they say, an "ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure."

We usually get a notice each week that there was "A" case found at school and later told that the test positivity rate is 5%. Common Core math that apparently the parents don't understand.
