Insightful? Absolutely! The presentation was so thorough in explaining the “why”. I have Dirty Jigs. Just need to get comfortable with them. Definitely need to refresh the smaller jigs. Thank you so much for taking tome to educate. So nice to have videos fron Az anglers. Excited to return to Bartlett and Roosevelt after my hip heals. Thank you again.

Been really binging your videos since I first came across the channel a couple months ago. Jigs are absolutely my favorite bass lure, My main jig is a Dirty Jigs 5/8 oz finesse football (molting craw color) and a trimmed down Yamamoto cowboy (green pumpkin). I usually drag football jigs or fish them like a swing-head. If I think I need to stroke a jig, I usually fish a different style. Something I have been experimenting with lately is fishing like what northern anglers call "cracking" a tube. Basically I'm dragging it in faster pulses (mixing up how many times I do it before pausing), but trying to keep it on the bottom. Heavier jigs make this easier. This approach has given me great outcomes so far. I'm sure I'm not the only person doing this, but give it a try if you haven't before.

Excellent breakdown as always. I’m old school Yamamoto Double most of the time and then a Craw/Beaver as well.

I like to hand tie my own jigs. Live in Canada, so a good portion of the year everything's froze. So I usually tie jigs in the winter. Old school flat rubber is a killer on the smallies up here. I like buying dirty jigs then taking the skirt off and tying on my own. Can make it as bulky or slim as you want, any matching of colors and materials. Swim jigs with a mix of silicone and old school flat rubber are really good too.

I watched this video last year and thought you were nuts saying you had issues with the Keitech m2. I’ve dumped 3 good fish this last week using it now I’m back seeing what my alternatives are lol.
@fixerupper30422 жыл бұрын
I love to throw me a football jig, even in the winter. In winter I use a mini D-bomb trailer and trim the skirt (with craw dad scent). In winter from the shore I managed to catch a few 4 and 5 pound LMB. Black and Blue or Pumpkin green. 🔥

@erikbrodersen47183 жыл бұрын
SLX are great reels for the money. At the 100 dollar price point they’re unmatched. If you can afford the extra 30 bucks the xt has the infinity breaking which makes a world of difference. Best rod around that price point I think is a dobyns fury. The 734 model is a great do anything rod but makes an awesome jig rod
