I’ve been playing the hunter: call of the wild since 2017 and I’m am so happy I’ve been a part of the hunter community for all these years. The hunter call of the wild is my favorite game hands down.I’m so excited for this map!🦌🏆

Also, I hope they do a South Eastern US kind of thing like hear in Tennessee or maybe Louisiana or Florida.Like hunting the Appalachian Mountains or the Mississippi River for boar, black bear, white tail deer, and a whole assortment of waterfowl. Not to mention the turkeys, beavers, raccoons, squirrels, quail, coyotes, and the legendary Eastern Cougar making it's come back with some red wolves being a timid but challenging hunt. Maybe there could be mysteries like the White Thing in East Tennessee, the Black Panthers in the same area, mythical bucks toward Middle Tennessee, and the Thunderbird sighting s being investigated all over the South. THere could also be potential for all the Southern reserves as well. Just and idea really. I'd just love to see the woods and fields I learned to call my home over the years.

I stumbled upon the game on sale yesterday, I have played many mimicky hunting games but this one is the only one to bring back those feelings I had as a kid playing cabela's grand slam, just wonderful

I might buy this one, mountainous areas are what i'm used to hunting, this game gives me an opportunity to hunt year round, and i love it

You guys are doing an incredible job. I think the animal AI could use a lot of tweaking though. Lots of glitches with them still present.

Been playing just about a year and SRP is still my absolute favorite reserve.

Love this game, just wish they'd improve the grass draw distance with less resource intensive models that go beyond the great looking up close ones, so that you don't look through scope or binos just to sê flat ground at a distance.

Silver ridge peaks is the best and most beautiful map of all in the hunter

I want a Wyoming/South Dakota map it would be wide open this is the whole reason why I kept suggesting pronghorn in streams so you don’t have to sit and hunt them in trees and there could be it would have so many options for animals such as:whitetail deer, mule deer, pheasants, antelope, coyotes, mountain goats, Rocky Mountain Elk, prairie dogs, turkey’s, and bison so there is so much possibility from extremely flat dry land to long prairie grass to tree covered mountains and would just be so cool

If Call Of The Wild only can be a bit more like hunter classic but no crying this looks phenomenal!

Isn´t time for a more Tropical Setting (Not one as Dry as the Savanna) why not try to break a bit the rule and do a new map on Southern Asia? Tapirs, Barbed Boars, Buffalo, etc. And a more dense vegetation.

Best CotW map hands down! I just wish they would do away with so many paved roads and MTN bike-looking trails - breaks the immersion.

In my opinion this map is more fun and easier to hunt than down in Layton Lakes district. I'm so glad I get to hunt Turkeys (and yes I'm aware there's more down in that New Zealand region and and that Mexico region as well)

All the turkey I see will no longer exist when I hunt them (same as those sneaky lions)

Ohh my goodness! Those views and sceneries are stunning!!! Too bad its just nearly 2 minutes long, I keep replaying it over and over again, I'll just have to watch this video a billion times til the map comes out on console to get my SRP fix

if you play on console heres what to do! :) spend your weeks gather as much in game money as possible, try not to spend any! this will give you enough money to buy callers, decoys, blinds, certain guns for the new species ect. leveling up in these times will give you the chance to unlock new things that will make your hunts in this resereve more enjoyable!! plan out your hunts and what your plans will be and how your going to put the smack down on those animals! play on your exsisting resereves, do realistic hunts, managment and even chase that great one... its still out there, good luck everyone have fun!

Looks beautiful, well done! I have one complaint. The longbow. It has a strike plate(the little leather triangular bit at top of grip), but the arrow sits inches below the strike plate. The strike plate is Where the arrow HAS TO rest due to archers paradox. Please adjust the strike plate so the arrow rests on it and it doesn’t feel like your holding the bow by the bottom limb. This equivalent would be showing the whisker biscuit rest on the compound bows, but for whatever reason the arrows rest on the hand below it.

Premising the tons of bugs and unrealistic stuff of the game so it's not junk , but it's far from being a masterpiece still. About maps , you know the title of this game , it is called "theHunter: Call of the Wild" , the best map , map which expresses this concept better , we know what is , and we can set various nationalisms and pride apart. There is actually only one map in this game where , all in once , there are about no traces of civilization , there is only wild , there are no roads , there are only endemic animals and you can forget artificially introduced animals or reintroduced animals , a place which is truly wild and one of the few places in the world which is still untouched by the civilization because of its harsh conditions not suitable for humans' life (and that was its salvation) , at the same time there are many environments , shifting sight conditions and amazing views there. You can like the idea or nor , but we all know the truest and purest hunting map in the game is Medved Taiga , and it's not an issue to have 6 species roaming instead of 8 or 10 , animals come repetitive inevitably , most of the newest are just reskins , in addition , but what makes the difference is how you spot those animals , what are those animals , the environments they can be found in , and then , the weather conditions , it's just spectacular how not always you will have a great visibility and at a certain moment you spot the prey emerging from the fog , the particles of snow moving through the air , and the most azure sky in the entire game. The Eurasian Lynx is one of the most peculiar preys to hunt in the game , it uses to hide , and when you unactivate those boring hints and flash lights you may find yourself near the lynx without realizing about it , and you'll have to be more careful. Bugs and some unrealistic stuff are the main problems in this game , which otherwise would be truly a greatest production in the totality. What about other maps in the game? - Hirschfelden is enchanting like a fairy tale , the dense , various and colorful nature of the Black Forest is awesome , but in opposition there are also farmlands , asphalt roads , human buildings and the introduced Canada Goose , which naturally would not spent any life time in that area of the world , same about the European Rabbit , while the European Bison is a reintroduced species. - Layton Lake has some traces of civilization , there are modern bridges , some buildings (apart from huts and others related to hunting , they are of course in every map) and even a wooden walkway which destroys the wild view of the environment. The animals are all native at least , but in the US they just keep overhunting and reintroducing continuously and the true taste of "hunting the wild" gets lost because it's not authentic anymore. Any US map can't give you a true and pure sensation of wilderness , there is always an artificial administration behind those animals you find there. - Vurhonga Savanna has native animals and various environments , but there are still asphalt roads and ground roads alike and the lion was made completely unrealistically , it is an alien lion and it is inspired by metropolitan legends and folks rather than by the reality. They had to make what a lion truly is , but they made the abused-by-fanatics fantasy dream caricature "king of the jungle". Lions' features and possibilities in real world are far from that stuff which looks like a Super Saiyan in Dragon Ball. - Parque Fernando is the worst map in the game. Super easy , tons of animals everywhere , it is the same as shooting at mechanical moving targets appearing right in front of your nose , many species are imported , you have no natural feeling. It's the ideal map for a 5 years old child and it's like to go to the fete where if you aim well you receive a plush as reward. - Yukon Valley has still some building (of the very ugly and nasty type) and some modern bridge , one building looks like an abandoned factory , it looks wilder than the majority of other maps , but it's not truly wild at all. There is the reintroduced Plains Bison , so the untamed feeling goes away , moreover in the real world bisons were not reintroduced along the alaskan area of the Yukon River , you are not likely to find bisons there , it's an unrealistic error the developers had to avoid , while wolves look too aggressive. They are unlikely to attack humans if unprovoked (with a few exceptions) and they often prefer to flee and avoid humans by distance already , they hide very well in real world. It's a very badly conceived map. - Cuatro Colinas has a unique fauna which counts several ibex species/subspecies which are endemic of Spain , it's not "the same trivial stuff" , this is a great value added to the map , which still has a black spot: the Iberian Mouflon , despite the name , is an introduced animal , the originary home of iberian mouflons are the islands of Corsica and Sardinia in the Tyrrhenian Sea. The wild feeling is widely compromised by asphalt roads , ground roads , buildings and farmlands , though they are very rustic and somehow they fit the wild well you inevitably have the truest sensation of going shooting at 2 steps from your little town , right in the near countryside. - Silver Ridge Peaks has many asphalt roads which destroy every sensation of being in the wild , the environment is pretty much all the same , very repetitive , with some exceptions. It is basically a more mountainous version of Layton Lake , without that wide swamp zone , after all the 2 areas are not geographically so far. There are pretty many animals which are already present in other maps , too. It feels pretty much like a partial copy with some difference and less variety. Now , nothing to complain about repetition , but if the repetition must be paid something is going wrong , they could put it as starter map , 3 instead of 2 sounds good , 2 are too few for the basic game and discourage people from buying in their first approach , so they may not buy the game at all , I think at least 3-4 maps should be available since the beginning if you want to catch a wider public. Hunting in Silver Ridge is too easy , in addition , and that goes against realism. Finally in Silver Ridge there is again the reintroduced Plains Bison , even if , there , it really roams around , you can't feel it authentic. - Te Awaroa: disclaimer: I know many places which to my eyes look much more beautiful than New Zealand forest and pacific islands , anyway...this is a hunting game...it's good to admire environment , surely , I also do that...but there are other genres of games better for that , such as role playing fantasy games , whose wonders , discoveries and explorations are an important part too. There are videos of true New Zealand you can see and find everywhere since internet exists. First of all I have to mention that horrible blue filter at night which is completely unrealistic (and again , unrealistic things are much more delightful in fantasy videogames)...then what about the preys? The chamois is very great , the feral animals just no , but this is not the point , like we all know all mammals in New Zealand are introduced by humans , you can't feel a true wild hunting feeling , you can't feel anything about "call of the wild" when you are just hunting in a giant park where all animals were thrown and they were told "Just stay here my 4 legged friends , your sons will not even think about that , they'll never know , so don't make all this drama , you can't escape this island even trying". It's all artificial contructed sensation which is far more determining than a beautiful natural landscape." - Rancho del Arroyo: with many animals which are present already in various other maps , there are still great unique attractions: I refer to the Collared Peccary , to the Pheasant and , especially , to the Mexican Bobcat. Still the Pheasant ruins the wild feeling (too) since is introduced , because everyone in the universe wants a pheasant at their home! I don't get it , but that's it , everyone wants a pheasant to hunt , there are many more colorful birds , but it's forbidden to hunt them , so this beautiful and fleshy colorful bird is the gemstone everybody want in this rough color-lacking hunting world...or maybe I'm just imagining strange things , anyway , Common Pheasant can't be missed in the menu , they say. But Pheasant is not the only thing which ruins the wild feeling. Sadly there are traces of wrecked cars abandoned to their destiny and many well defined ground roads. In this harsh environment you really feel the Old Wild West feeling! But I want to feel the Call of the Wild...it's another type of wild...it's...the true wild. I mean , I have never been attracted by the old wild west , but if I wanted to feel in the old wild west I would buy Red Dead Redemption series. In conclusion for the map , the official description is misleading , you are not in the heart of Mexico's hottest desert , there are many mildly forested areas and even grassy expanses in the map , there are also zones which are more arid , but not that exaggerated as the description wants to make believe.
