Great review John! Last Xmas I bought my five year old Grand-daughter ( going on eight ), the Midi Hoard, as my Son-in-law swings a G2+. Since then, he has lost interest a wee bit, but not herself! Ava regularly hunts in the garden and paddocks, and every time that she does she finds. No-one 'seeds/cheats' the ground either. Ava has mastered the Midi's lay-out herself, and loves her tektor! Ava always cleans it and puts it away safely and sensibly, which shows respect and care. All in all, Nokta Makro have provided two great little machines for youngsters; apart from the poxy screw on the battery housing! Sorry NM, but that screw is a fail. Take care my friend.

Awesome to hear she still enjoys it. My kids no longer go with me...they both had detectors at one point, Oh well. Thanks for watching my friend.

Not going to lie. I wish I could have had something like this when I was a kid. I would be out all over the place where I lived. We had so many spots I could have detected with these.

Yeah same here. I'd have been at the old unfenced spots until sundown every night.

Midi wouldn't be a bad machine for an adult who wanted to jump in the creek every now and again. Plenty deep for most creeks. Heck, you could dive with it over your head and still see the light flash.

I like screws they are full proof, if you drop it you have a metal detector to find it lol.

I only place items on Amazon I do not sell directly - and need to go refresh some of the links. Been a bit lazy with it lately. No worries if you have an Amazon card or whatever. Get one - great detector for the kiddos.
