Next year yall need to come down to Summersville, West Virginia and bring a boat we have a big lake with alot of public land surrounding it, but it is hard to access unless you use a boat, much love from a West Virginian that follows the channel 🤘

WV can be some tough hunting, but you can’t beat how those birds sound in the terrain. Nothing beats one giving you a surprise when they gobble 50 yards over the bank.

I was born and raised here in West Virginia, I have grown up hunting the mountains in Randolph county an even more “city” hunting in Harrison county. It’s awesome seeing you guys in my home state. Can’t wait to see the gobbling action!! Keep up the videos of every species boy!!! Strike em up!!

I ran into a baby black bear and its momma in western Oregon at about 15 yards, and it scared the death into me. She was huffing and puffing at me, and I slowly walked away. I could hear her following me in the brush for quite a ways down the road. It was the first time I realized I wasn't always safe walking in the wilderness! Nice footage of those little babies, nature is awesome!

Zach that " what the hell is that " kinda reminded me of my wife sitting in the tree in the pitch dark and she hears a deer grunt and she whispers the same exact thing too me. Laughing....... That's how bigfoot rumors get started ya know, I think you could of caught one of those cubs zach, iv seen you chase deer. That was pretty cool seeing that sow and her cubs climb up that tree, would of been a good selling point for tetherd if you were sitting in a saddle in the same tree. Beautiful country right there, never been there but after seeing it here I'm definitely going to put it on my bucket list. As always be safe and stay healthy my friend.

WV is tough fellas. Stay after them. First couple weeks was awesome and last week was brutal.. Highly pressured and conditioned birds but it all depends on the area. Here in Putnam County, there are a higher density of birds than the northern areas where you are hunting. Maybe consider trying some birds in the southern part of the state the next time you drop by our gorgeous state. It’s awesome to see you guys here and good luck on the rest of the turkey tour!!

I live in and hunt WV. It’s my first year hunting public land and I had a little run in with a bear. I was walking down a trail down a very steep point with a laurel thicket beside me. I saw some black go away from me and trash around in the brush and I could hear what sounded like 4 paws hitting the ground all the way down the mountain. Scared the absolute shit outta me!

I got my first turkey this year it was a super jake and I am so happy! You guys inspire me to get back in the woods and keep hunting! Sadly our season has ended so I have to wait until next year lol 😂

Well turkey season ended here in N.C. this past Saturday so at least I can still enjoy watching you guys continue the hunt .....didn’t get any gobblers this year but that’s hunting keep it going guys I enjoy watching ever video!

Not sure what part of the state you were in, but here in the southern part of the state they've been staying pretty low. Both of the ones I killed and all the ones I called in for other people were low except for 2 of them.

I am pretty sure I know where you were. If you follow the road you were walking on for a couple of miles you will come into the bottom. Lots of birds down there. Focus on the ridges if you want to keep your exertion level down. I grew up in WV and lived in Elkins for years. I now live in Iowa.

Welcome to Western Maryland, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. It's STEEP! A terrain map doesn't do it justice a lot of times. As the crow flys it is 1/4 of a mile. In reality it will take you 45 min to walk there.

man i guess i just attract bears. You guys said this was the first one you saw right? my first trip turkey hunting out of state on my own last year in a long time (catskills, New York), i must have run into 4 different bears (including a mother and cubs one time). I cant seem to get away from them everywhere i go.

Last year I came across a sow and her cubs while out turkey hunting. I was trying to get closer to some toms that were gobbling and I heard this weird scraping sound. I thought maybe the turkeys were moving their wings against the tree(pine trees here in Southern Oregon). I came around a big bush just in time to see two cups go fly up a tree about 60 yards away. As my brain was processing and moving on to the next thought of "where is mama" I heard her making this kind of.. woofing/snorting sound. I looked slightly to my right and there she was, trotting my way. I yelled and waved my arms and nothing so I shot my shotgun in the air. That was enough to convince her to turn around, get her kids and leave. It took a solid 20 minutes before my heart came down out of my throat.. talk about getting the blood going!
