My Italian family surnames are DiMauro and Vizinni, and they’re from Sicily. Interestingly, the man my great grandmother married later became the chief of police for the city. Thanks to my great grandfather, we have ancestors who fought in the American Revolution, War of 1812, and the Civil War.
