Buffalo's newest Electra is being put to the test after being hammered hard by harsh winds in the valley. With a big freeze hitting the airport, frozen engines and wings are raising the tension within the crew.

In Texas. We had a brutal 0° snowmageddon and we had no water for 5 days. My dad's house still had water and gas and electricity so I always had a shower available 20 miles away. Our pipes burst in the freeze and no water for 5 days but also, the electric grid froze and no electricity and no heat for 3 days. Our apartment stayed 64° the whole time. I just can't go without a shower every day but I got one every other day then.👍🏽

Having been in Texas when some snow hit its not that bad, Try colorado up on top of a mountain with a tiny winding dirt road we got snowed in so bad that the power lines broke, and it went up to the roof and took like 2 weeks for the local authorities to plow up the road then come and plow us the area around the house so we could literally leave the building. I lived in colorado for 3 years and had the worst snow in like 60 years that year was intense.

@@pilsplease7561 Actually- the storm he is referring to (if I'm not mistaken) was a record breaking ice storm that took down the whole state's power grid, the natural gas literally froze in the lines so they had no heat, and because it never snows there- they had no plows, no experience dealing with it, no infrastructure that's ready for it. If it's not the one he's referring to- it happened none the less. It's far worse down here during a serious winter storm than it is in a place like Colorado where they deal with large snow events several times every year. 246 ppl died during the event I referenced above- literally froze to death in their homes. Well- most of them did anyway- since the ambulances, police, and fire were down and couldn't help anyone- ppl were just on their own. Once their cell phones died- that was that. So, I'm sure some of them died of other causes because they couldn't get any help. Most of them were older ppl of course- but it took little children as well, which is unbelievably sad. I think if I were their parents, I would've burnt the house down trying to save them- I'd set myself ablaze if it would save my kids. But I'm sure they did all they could- it just wasn't enough.

As a business owner myself I can’t believe they don’t have their own de-ice truck. The amount of money wasted on labor mopping on the fluid, waiting for it to warm up is crazy it would pay for itself to have a de-ice truck or even make one. Get truck or full size van with a gasoline engine because they run hotter, put a 100 gallon tank in it that has a heat exchanger in it, run the engines coolant to it so it’s heads by the vehicles engine, then use a pressure washer to spray the fluid on it.

Honestly CJ does seem like a wuss. But I have to side with him when it comes to his coworkers trying to boss him around, tell him not to come to work. That’s complete bs, I would have given that guy a good mouthful thinking that as a grown man he can talk to me this way. Secondly when CJ decides to speak with the higher ups they just brush him off and laugh at him amongst themselves privately without any shame. This is a clear example of how the Buffalo hierarchy works. Definitely doesn’t show good for them , and more than likely not a great place to work at all unless you’re in the Royal Buffalo Family.

If there is a fire while you are not home, firefighters will not try to rescue a loose dog inside a home engulfed in fire. A panicked dog could turn on its rescuer or the firefighter could die trying to find the dog. But If your dog is in a pet carrier under a window they will break the glass, reach in and grab the carrier. My dog snubbed me for a week once because I went to work and forgot to put him in the carrier first. There are always multiple sides to everything. But you go ahead and hug your artificial self superiority.

An accident just waiting to happen! Deicing an entire frozen aircraft not using anything NORMAL like deicing trucks that spray the solution on so that it does a thorough and proper job of clearing ALL of the contamination of ice completely off ALL the surfaces BEFORE FLIGHT! How and thee hell does Transport Canada ever ALLOW them to get away with such primitive and life threatening procedures like these? They are flying PEOPLE in these aircraft! They said it themselves that it's the sched aircraft and they need to have it ready first thing in the morning! No! This is NOT the way you deice a frozen aircraft and especially if you are going to put PEOPLE ON IT! There's NO WAY Transport Canada is allowing them to deice a scheduled airliner in this manner! No way! My advice would be to NOT GET ON THIS AIRCRAFT after it's had a deicing job like this performed on it! Don't even go to the airport at all. UNBELIEVABLE
