Whatever way it was angled pre tournament or build up we met or exceeded expectations. The 'favourites' going in were England France and Portugal. The way we were playing surprised we even got there so fair play. Bottling that final is like Newcastle bottling the fa cup against man united

Tbf you got pretty unlucky with Germany, they would've definitely made it to the final had they let Switzerland top their group and they were the only team I'd say who made Spain sweat for all 90 minutes. Tbh I think they can win the 2026 world cup as their squad depth is absolutely disgusting, Rodri the best DM in the world and his back up Zubimendi i'd say is within the top 5 or if not at least within the 10 best DM's in the world currently, left back Nico Williams, the most dangerous attacking fullback in the world with Grimaldo who is the best free kick taker/long range goal threat in football right now as back up to name a couple of examples. Argentina will have their work cut out to defend their crown if they are up against Spain at any point in the next world cup.

One thing I admire from English fans is that, even though they just saw their team lose two major finals in 3 years, you'll still see them getting up again and chant "it's coming home" a few months from now. They just never quit, never give up
