REVIVE US AGAIN: THE PROTOCOLS FOR REVIVAL
“Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations?
Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?” - Psalm 85:5-6
* “When we mark everything as a revival, then nothing is a revival” - Corey Russel & Bill Humphrey
* “Revive us again” means He had revived us before, either in previous generations or in previous seasons of our lives.
WHAT IS A REVIVAL?
* A Revival is an invasion of the Spirit of God that interjects, intercepts, and interrupts Tradition - Luke 24:49/ Acts 1:8/ Acts 1:14/ Acts 2:1-4/ Acts 2:15-19/ Joel 2:28-30/ Isaiah 32:14-17
“because the palaces shall be forsaken; the multitude of the city shall be left; the forts and towers shall be for dens for ever, a joy of wild asses, a pasture of flocks; until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest. Then judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful field. And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.”
Isaiah 32:14-17 KJV
PROTOCOLS FOR A REVIVAL:
1. ALIGNMENT - Joel 2:15-30
* Revival is the product of a process - 2 Chronicles 7:14/ Acts 2:1
* The forecasted revival that has been prophecied over this generation will require an alignment.
* The Lord has asked that I call a generation of ministers, ministries, and members to align.
* A PROPHETIC WORD: At 01:58pm this afternoon the Lord said, “Align, my body. Align, for the things I am set to do will not follow your traditions for they will beat your imagination. Did I not say I will work a work in your days that you will not believe even if it was told you. Brace up. Prepare ye. Prepare ye. I will do a new thing. Not new to me but new to you, for you have never experienced it before, saith the Lord.”
* The 3 Postures explored last night are critical to our alignment - Holiness, Humility & Hunger
Note the following:
1. Holiness - Attention from God (Acts 2:37-44)
2. Humility - Access to God (2 Chronicles 7:14, James 4:6)
3. Hunger - Attraction to God (Psalm 42:2, Psalm 63:1, Isaiah 44:3)
EXPRESSIONS OF HUNGER AND THIRST:
1. DIS-SATISFACTION - Phil. 3:10 / Act. 4:29-34
▪ Where there is Satisfaction, you have lost your Hunger and Thirst.
2. DESPERATION - This is where your heart begins to seek after God alone - Ps. 63:1-2
▪ EVANS ROBERTS - “Religious manna”
3. EXPECTATION - 2 Kgs 3:10 / Prov. 23:18
▪ The Expectation of a Hungry and Thirsty man/woman is often Misunderstood.
4. SEPARATION - This is expressed in Prayer and Fasting.
▪ LEONARD RAVENHILL, “Revival Delays because Prayer Delays.”
▪ “If the church today has as many Agonizers as Advertisers, we will have Revival in one year.”
DUNSIN OYEKAN, “I’ll be here, worshipping all the Days of my Life.”
2. ASSIGNMENT - Joel 2:7/ 28-30
* In preparing to host a revival, there will be mass deployments in the body.
* Revivals are Holy Ghost Invasions but He used Human Instruments.
* This is why men and women will be mantled for the upcoming revival.
* It is only the amigned that can be assigned - 2 Timothy 2:19-21
* The Lord will assign those that have yielded.
* Until Jonah was aligned, Ninivah did not see Revival - Jonah 3:3
* Until the Apostles were aligned, the early church did not see revival - Acts 1:8/ 2:1-4
* Until Evan Roberts (Welsh Revival) was aligned Wales did not see revival.
* Until Isaac Oyedepo is aligned, his generationn may be cheated out of experiencing a revival - (add your name here). If you are a pastor or evangelist, etc, this is crucial.
* Align me O God!!!
3. DISCERNMENT - 1 Chronicles 12:32/ Matthew 16:2-4/ Ecclesiastes 3:1/11
* The Minister, Ministry, and Members must be cultured to know when the Spirit is moving.
* Many can’t even tell that the climate has changed.
* Many are still trapped in their traditions.
* The Holy Ghost cannot be put into a box.
* When the cloud moves, we must move.
* Experience keeps you in history; Expectation moves you to make history.
