You can just ask your mom to post on facebook : “does anyone have lego who doesn’t play with it anymore”, that maybe works. I think there are enough people who want their lego away

3. Enough place to store the bricks and boxes. But it can be reduced to the 2nd point: more money to buy a bigger apartment/house.

@graemevaughey7432
@graemevaughey7432 4 жыл бұрын
I think that Blacktron works because the yellow is an _accent_ colour. It doesn't use an equal amount of both, so much as, like, 90% black/grey, and 10% yellow. You can get away with strong contrasting/clashing colours so long as it is used sparingly.

Not to be nitpicky, but im totally gonna be nitpicky. The sloped roof you showed isnt really an illegal technique as it has been used in offical sets like the Lego Ideas Flintstone set. But overall, this is a great video, love it!
@juplup
@juplup 4 жыл бұрын
Just wanna add that usually an illegal building technique is defined as putting stress on pieces that won't be good for them. For example, putting plates and tiles in between studs puts stress on the studs.
@justbbricks

Illegal techniques can be used in sets

In one set from lego they used a plate in between studs
@TomGionJr
@TomGionJr 4 жыл бұрын
@@Zomolith That's a tile. Tile between studs = legal, because it's not a stressed connection. Plate between studs = not legal, because the studs of the perpendicular pieces collide - it's weak and doesn't sit right. Also, you can definitely find actual examples of illegal techniques in OLDER sets, because standards change and update over time.

@TheSkullPOPS
@TheSkullPOPS 2 жыл бұрын
@@gamerpie15 I feel you... its the same with me honestly... but make the most of what you got, try testing techniques with the pieces you already own even if there with random colors, it's in preparation for when you actually do have enough pieces to make a good moc, if you reallly wanna make a moc but don't have enough pieces try thinking what you wanna build then going on bricklink and buy all the parts you feel are gonna be used in the build. the pieces are fairly cheap so buy as many as you want! tiles are usually always key in a moc just keep that in mind :D

Thank you so much for this wonderful video. Your advice is amazing and so creative. Spicing up the bookshelf by using the boat blew my mind. Your last point on varying angles is so neat. At age 66 I'm returning to LEGO and trying my hand at very small spaceship designs. Compared to other things I see, mine are merely child's play, but it's stress-reducing, relaxing and plain fun. Thank you again and best wishes. Liked and Subscribed.
