@@unicornlover8559 She's just the BEST person! First time I met her was in August in Houston. We were late and couldn't find close parking so to make the M&G we had to run 6 blocks. When we got there I was DRIPPING sweat. I said "I don't want you to hug me I'm all sweaty" Lindsey just grinned and said "C'mere big guy!" and gave me the BEST hug sweat and all. So kind and generous. KSLL

Ego derived labels only serve to create separation over unity from ourselves and with others. Lindsey's authencity in this video illustrates how everyone is perfectly imperfect the way they exactly are. We all go through moments of adversity and hope that we can gain wisdom along the way and empower ourselves. And share that wisdom with others.

It’s really comforting to hear her story. I’m in college now & my mind has definitely been in a dark place. This all seems in the distant past of Lindsey’s life so it reassures me that maybe this will just become a tough time to look back on but soon I’ll be living a bright happy future the way she is now

"Broken people" often are the best at helping people. It's called the peer movement. People with lived experience can connect on levels therapists never can because it's a lived shared experience connection. The Federal government has recognized the value of peers and most states now have peer specialist certification programs so people can work in mental health and substance abuse while living with a label. This very video is exactly what peers do in sharing their lived experience to help others climb out of whatever shadows befall them. Welcome to the peer world Lindsey!

I realize that I have more to share. You are not alone. I was 34 when I realized that I wanted to learn about myself. I wanted to read every self-help book that spoke to me. I learned so much and I was helped so much by searching for help. Now I am in a place of learning my spiritual journey. It has opened a whole new arena for me to understand. God is so important to me and that is why I am so connected to you and your art. I am a spiritual being having a human experience and I love the journey.

Hi folks, Kerry here. I just watched the video above with Liz and Lindsey and have to agree to agree with everything they said. But i can add to some of it to hopefully make it clearer. I was a Firefighter/EMT (emergency medical tech) for a couple of decades outside of Seattle before i got hurt on the job. These days 3/4's of our responses are medical. Of those we typically have either Trauma or Psychological. I like the Moon and cloud analogy but it affects the guys too. The cloud idea works to a point but keep in mind that some clouds are Nature in action, they make rain to nourish the land and snow to make it clean and fresh and to build up the snow pack for the Summer. It's the clouds we make ourselves that we are concerned about. Like they said we are all different and unique, we are all affected by different things and in different ways. If you have any doubts about thoughts or feeling go talk to someone! Be it your Mother or friend or a F.F. or a counselor. Group therapy, most people hate the thought of it but like Lindsey stated just getting it out verbally brought out more than she had thought about. It also gives you a different perspective from other folks who aren't involved. Then do a really honest self evaluation and see what you find. If you don't like something learn how to change it, not to someone else's idea's but your own. Learn to be who you want to be. We're all different, it's ok to be different. Just learn how to keep yourself healthy, physically, mentally, and emotionally. Your problem(s) could be simple or not. Anything from stress to diet to medication reaction to trauma to PTSD. You won't know until you look. Talk to someone! I could carry on for hours about this, but won't as I need to take care of myself cuz i'm not perfect either. None of us are. Be of good cheer, it helps everybody yourself included.

I definitely relate to the part Lindsey talked about a part of her dying with her dad. I feel that with losing my own. I won't ever get the same piece of me back, because life is extremely different without my dad, but I have many other pieces of me that I can emphasize. I appreciate this interview. Thank you for the reminder that self worth is not tied to being busy. I've felt low and worth less (not worthless, I know I have worth) because I only have a 2 day a week job. I feel lower than people like Lindsey, who are working every day doing awesome things for the world. I think I do good things for those I work with and for, but it feels micro in scale. I have to accept that is where I am right now, and do the best I can with the circumstances I am in. My self worth or esteem cannot be tied into how much I do, but who I am, and I can be happy with what I do with the amount I have. Thank you for the uplifting messages.

We are multifaceted but its also good to have something that stands out that youre more passionate about than scrapbooking. And its ok if you say that what youre passionate about is part of who you are. The point is you dont want society or trends or other people defining you and putting you in a box. You have to do this or you have to do that. Everyone has genius. But to connect with it you need to connect with what makes you want to fly. At that point you have connected with your inner self and your divinity. And its part of you, not part of someone else approving of you.

Wow! This interview is super interesting! I'm thrilled! I've watched a couple of Lindsey Stirling's talking about her issues before, that, to be true, were the starters for me to follow her; not as an artist, but as an entrepreneur in first place. Afterwards, I started to like her music and her journey to the point of becoming a fan. But the core idea I want to make here is: she's so human as anybody else at some point, and don't get me wrong because I admire her in many aspects; but definitely, we can't hide all what is inside us, all our backgrounds and the things that many times (or even daily) prevent us to excel in the different areas of our lives. Her words show once again that we are the reflection of others, on virtues and defects equally, and that we have the choice of losing or wining in this battle of becoming our better selves. Thanks so much for sharing this valuable content! A big hi from Mexico, and lost of love and blessings to you!

Phillipians 4:8 (KJV Bible) Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. True. What we think of ourselves or dwell on that's negative in our minds can really affect us in a bad way.

Actually, Lindsey's problems were more specific. And God already used me to help her. Thank God! 😂 I became a True Christian (Baptist) in 1988. I saw my first Lindsey video (Zelda Medley) on 9-4-15. About 7 years ago, The Lord Jesus blessed me even beyond my belief. 1) HE totally and completely took away some personal issues/problems. 2) HE severely increased my intelligence. I was so stupid growing up. Let me misquote from Dr. Who. “Close your eyes and picture the stupidest thing in the whole universe. Can you picture it? Good. Now forget it because he’s typing this post now.” 3) HE gave me my One and Only Lifelong Dream. I can now honestly say that I’m the happiest guy in the whole universe. And because of these three - I will always thank and love The Lord! #3 above is the focal point. What if Yahweh called me to do something? Would I not have certain insights from God? Would I not have some insider information? God messed up my whole life so I could be at the right place at the right time to help a very special woman - Lindsey Stirling. God wanted Lindsey to be a Christian. AND He wanted me to save her life. And after I did, she and I fell in love. And I have been with her ever since. Thank God! 😂 And Yes, I can prove all this. But the details are even more unbelievable.
