I love the way she came to life and her eyes lit up at the mention of MTV.. Stevie is as much of a music fan as she is a superstar.. she’s just one of us at heart, which is what makes her so endearing and enduring. 23 years later and then Stevie couldn’t have imagined just how strong she is! And that she’d be back on stage and rocking into her ‘70’s.

@@aswift8 Nope. This was her years on something called klonopin - it damaged her for 8 years.

@@GabiFOliv If you want to see her during probably during her heaviest use of coke, watch the TUSK documentary/concert or even the RED ROCKS dvd. Actually, I'm really surprised that the sober Stevie hasn't pulled the RED ROCKS off the shelves. She was a mess; she was the same when I saw her during that tour---probably worse---in Los Angeles. Oddly, she had gained quite a few pounds on coke. Perhaps she was drinking too?
@aniradup81013 жыл бұрын
@@vwgolf6487 She carried on using coke for 6 months before she went to Betty Ford - I've seen and read in a couple of places - and as moderately as she could (not via the nose though) as she had concerts booked and couldn't do them straight before rehab. That probably accounts for the weight gain. What I find so upsetting is how most folks seem to think she intentionally latched on to another addiction post coke, when the reality was it was an unethical shrink - totally star struck, who just wanted the "scoop" on the latest from the inside - and key getting her in to prescribe/increase her klonopin dosage. She didn't know what she was getting into and he incapacitated her for 8 years, until she couldn't remember when last she'd taken one, she was so zonked out (let alone write a song). Just sat around watching TV and ordering take outs. Folks like him in that profession should be disbarred. Clearly.

Boy you can tell the Klonopin is wrecking her usual persona. She's still articular and a great story teller, but you see she how zombified she is on that stuff...or actually on that HUGE dose of that stuff.If that "Dr" had never increased her dose above a small dose (No more than a .50 per day, (Despite her actually never needing any of it at all) it would have not stolen all those years from her.

She seems so lifeless here. She must have been on a pretty high dose. She said she took it 5 times a day and kept increasing the dose. Klonopin saved my life. I have been on a small dose for 28 years and have never asked for an increase. I never abused illegal drugs. Don't Judge people.

She’s a little hypocritical when she state’s how special her relationship was with Don Henley yet she openly speaks of the abortion she had when she was pregnant with his child. She even goes on to say in other interviews that “Sara” was to be the baby’s name in the event that baby was a girl. This was her inspiration for her song “Sara”, (in her own words.) Don’t get me wrong no judgment being placed. Not getting political by any means here. Just find her a little confusing and may be a little Self absorbed. don’t get me wrong, sure she was young, beautiful, talented, gMay be a little self-absorbed but who wouldn’t be. It’s told she was upset with Henley for coming out publicly with that information but I r she did the same thing. Imo. This is all my own opinion on this so nothing is set in stone except that I find Stevie full of herself at times. I’m sorry if you’re egg I offend anyone but again, just my personal opinion.
