'Udhungada Sangu' means blow the conch as said in the subs. A conch shell is blown during funerals as a death ritual in the tamil region, so the lyrics basically means he saying blow the conch as im dead inside 🤧🥲

Karuvad means dry fish yes. But it's nothing to do with that song or situation right. Dhanush wrote that 'what a karuvad' because it was a famous dialogue from a comedy scene from a old movie. He uses such simple catchy famous lines as lyrics to make song viral. Yes I agree with you Jimmy for me also as a entire movie album VIP album is on top favorite along with another album of movie named ethir neechal composed by anirudh, every song in that album is gems.

when this movie released in 2014 i loved music but in 2022 i can relate this song to all middle class boys life in INDIA. These songs are emotion and how life goes for a middle class boys.
