Ken, even better than a “veggie burger,” Shake Shack Toronto offers the vegetarian cheese stuffed Portobello Mushroom burger. (If you get on their mailing list they send you “secret codes” good for free food items or shakes fairly often.) Ad copy :: “The vegetarian options at Shake Shack in Toronto are unique and distinct from other locations. The 'Shroom Burger, a battered portobello mushroom filled with melted cheese and topped with lettuce, tomato, and ShackSauce, is a notable vegetarian option that stands out from other vegetarian burgers that often imitate meat. This creative and greasy vegetarian option is a highlight of the Toronto menu.” They may have been sold out on opening day, but this is a regular item.

Great walk. That smuck who worte that Star story must be blind. People just love to read bad news about Toronto. I wish that burger place luck but the last time I had a burger was when I was high school about 60 years ago. Take care in the heat wave that is coming.

The hype is generated by the company themselves to drum up business. It’s way overpriced just like Chick Fillet. I’ll take Harvey’s or Burgers Priest any day.
