Was in Orlando in the late 90s and 2002,came back with my wife in 2015.We came back this year and we were shocked how expensive it is now,for food,groceries,theme parks,taxi, uber,hotel fee. I love the place but not sure I would recommend again to anyone because of how expensive it is now.

Loving this vlog, we are going over in 5 weeks, haven't been over since 2019 it seems to have got a lot more expensive especially with exchange rate. But still cant wait love Walmart !!! Thanks for taking the time to do this and share x

We were over in April and could see a considerable difference in Walmart from 10 years ago last there. Me and my wife love doing the same and can spend hours browsing Walmart. Love the bakery individual apple pies which couldn't find last time.

They are. We were in California in August. So expensive because of the dollar/gbp. But did notice even in in and out burger they were paying $21 an hour

The exchange rate has been at £1 $1.22 for a long time Same as pre scamdenic Ignore the horror stories about sterling crashing they release these every time it drops for a day which it's done since the late 80s Yes Americans get paid more but the last study I looked into reveled that Brits have 30% more expendable cash after paying bill and healthcare etc And this wasn't including running a car which more Americans do We are far better looked after in the UK Workers rights don't exist over the pond for the American folks

The largest chain by far is Kroger’s(doing business under several names), which for various reasons does not operate in “tourist” states such as California, Florida or New York. Kroger is modestly priced usually less than the “tourist” state grocers(Florida’s local largest chain grocery is Publix), but fast growing Aldi is taking market share, probably due to Kroger’s confusing giant stores.

thanks for a really enlightening (and dare I say sobering) vlog. We are heading over there in November, staying at Windsor Palms (not too far from that Walmart) - prices have certainly shot up since we were there last in early 2020 !! At least we will be prepared.

Great video! Love seeing all the different goodies! I think the prices have gone up but the exchange rate won’t help. One of our favourite sweets to get are the original Jolly Ranchers! For crisps we love the lime Tostito’s!

There is no sales tax on groceries in most states in the US, Florida included. So that food is not taxable.

Even if the exchange rate was better, the prices are still shocking. I remember shopping in Florida in the 80s and 90s, everything was much cheaper than the UK. How things have changed. It must be incredibly tough for US consumers right now, considering they have lower wages than the UK.

@@robturner4895 that is so not true. A good server can bring home several hundred dollars on a good night. These prices have come to American with Biden. Despite what you hear life was good under Trump. Prices are up at least double, sometimes triple what they were under Trump. Gas price were $1.87 the day he lost the election

You really can't compare prices from 25 or 35 years ago , of course the prices are much higher plus inflation in the US has raised prices just in the last 2 years , then add the exchange rates for the Dollar and Pound and there you have it .. Wages in the US have increased dramatically over the 30 plus years as well ..

You had me in stitches with your JD trainers..you was proper struggling..!!. We are going to Florida soon...26th of September..staying in a villa in calabay Park for 9 nights.. It's the first time my wife Tracey has travelled with a defibrillator fitted..after having a cardiacarest back in January 2021.. She is doing really well..she cannot ride roller coasters..so we going to sit back and chill in the villa..go out for meals and a bit of shopping.. You now get Corona Light in the U.K. in Home Bargains! Corona Light It’s now the only corona in the U.K. that’s imported, the normal stuff in now “brewed on licence” in the U.K. and tastes like piss water. Impossible to drink.

I know you said a couple of times during the vlog about not being sure if this was helpful or not, well for what its worth I definitely think it is as it provides families who are planning a trip a great insight into the range and price of various food and drink. Everything has increased in price all around the world, but as you said with the added downside of a poor exchange rate the price difference in the UA is exacerbated. One last thing if your dad was anything like my dentist, a bottle of rose Moet is nothing more than a clean and polish😂, get it bought you tight bugga, treat yourself, this isn't no rehearsal remember!! Looking forward to the rest of your vlogs guys, in my opinion, they're some of the very best out there for Orlando.

In Maryland, our grocery stores don't sell beer, wine or any other alcoholic beverages. Our liquor laws are more strict than other states.

Love the video. I would like to say to anyone who hasn't shopped at Walmart before that if you're looking for something a bit cheaper most of the big stores in the US have their own brands as well so make sure to look up the names if you're looking to save some money.

Loads of sweets to choose from but if I can only choose one, it’d be Hershey Nuggets Extra Creamy Milk Chocolate with toffee & almonds!! I don’t even know if they sell them but it’s like creamy milk choc with bits of daim in!! Mmmmmmm

Great vlog. Love a Walmart shop. You can buy everything! The cheesecakes looked delicious - the chocolate isn’t the same though. Is there still a ‘British chocolate’ section?

Absolutely loved this, walmart is always my first night and few trips In between, you should try downtown winter garden this trip I reckon use would love it, especially your dad, loads of parking, there's a great restaurant there called hangry bison
