Showed a lot in this trailer.. more than enough. They don’t need another trailer.. but more than likely will put another one out. If the movie is 3 hours long then there is a lot that wasn’t shown. Which is good. As far as attaching the hip hop music , I agree that they could’ve left that out of it. To give it more of a historic realistic feel.. I have a feeling the next trailer will have a more serious tone to it.

I’m excited obviously the original is such an amazing movie. Let’s hope this lives up to it. One thing I agree with you is the modern music in the trailer threw me off. Also did you think Morgan Freeman with no accent was kind of distracting??? Keep up the great

In the original movie Ridley actually story boarded scenes for flooding the arena and the Rhino. I believe due to money and time they never filmed it but I guess Ridley finally gets to put those scenes in a movie and I’m here for it. This looks great.

Welcome to modern Hollywood, where sequels are made just bc of their name. This could've easily been a different movie, but calling it Gladiator 2 will bring in those extra millions on the box office.

the production quality did not drop off even a little bit and thats incredible, it doesn’t have this glossy modern look or feel, it legitimately looks and FEELS like a true sequel to Gladiator

I am with you, Kristian. I have been excited from day 1, and the trailer has sold me even more. It looks really damn good. The complaint about a sequel being unnecessary just doesn't make much sense because it isn't using the same lead. It is just gladiator 2 because it follows another gladiator and exists in the same universe.

I loved the excitement level Kristian at the end when you were telling them not to show too much. Nothing quite like when you can feel the reactors genuine engagement.

Bro, I felt the exact same about the music. I had to rewind the trailer because, for a moment, I could only pay attention to how disappointed he music made me feel. I needed that epic tone from the first half of the trailer to exist throughout. That alone has now made me consider the possibility of this film being decent, but maybe it won't stick the landing of that epic and dramatic tone throughout

Was not excited by the sequel announcement, but surprisingly, the trailer doesn't look bad, but the music choice at the end really killed the vibe. Cautiously optimistic about the movie now.

I dont think Ridley Scott would make the mistake of touching Gladiator if he didn't believe it was going to be something special. Gladiator is my all time favorite film & I'm SO excited. I just hope it can stick some kind of landing. This trailer is a good start (Filmmakers don't cut their own trailers. the music doesn't concern me).

So many people have been complaining about the music (referring to the comments of the official trailer). It literally didn't even register with me until I saw the comments and went back to the trailer. I was so into what was happening that I wasn't focused on it. It's unfortunate it struck so many nerves, but to me it isn't a big deal and gave it a big fight feel. I loved the trailer. I am totally in. The cast is fantastic as well. I guess I should go back and rewatch Gladiator again. I've literally only watched it once, back when I was in high school, and I was so sad about the ending, that I never watched it again...lol

It's terrible and music sets a tone for the film. This is an historical epic and rap music doesn't belong, compare this to the trailer for the original film. Rap music isn't going to appear in the film (hopefully) so why is it being used in the trailer.

When I first heard about this movie being thought about, was worried that they were going to retcon the story and sat maximus was the father of Connie Neilson's kid and go downhill from there. After seeing this trailer, I am so hyped for this.

Love this trailer, one minor issue I have: the Romans didn't call it the Colosseum, they called it the Flavian Theatre. Otherwise, looks like an epic spectacle you have to see on the biggest possible screen.

@@cowboywayne35 Napoleon was a miss but I’m still glad he was able to make it. There’s some good stuff in there. The battle scenes are pretty much unmatched in modern Hollywood. If anything, Phoenix’s odd acting choices hurt that movie the most. Imo

I don't really understand what's going on in it or what role each character has in this story or what the main effort/journey/plot is with regards to the arena fights. With Gladitor 1 the mission was clear. Here, I don't really get it, or maybe they should have sold it more like both this kid and Pascal's characters are equal protagonists and depending on who you side with, you don't know who to root for or who will finally win.

I can’t wait for this movie! We don’t get good movies that are for a male audience as much these days so I’m really excited for this one. Having Jay Z playing in the background was reminiscent of American Gangsters trailers back in the day which was the last film Denzel and Ridley worked on together. For that reason In didn’t mind it.

So excited!!! Though I will never agree that Scott is “more miss than hit”. He’s WAY more hit without question! The Last Duel and Napoleon (which yes is great) are his most recent films and they both rock. This looks amazing!

Go look up the meaning of that song then go shut up. Music is universal just cuz the film isn't filled with blacks doesn't mean u can't throw a Grammy nominated hip hop song in the trailer that if u actually know the song fits the trailer perfectly.

Love ur content. Onto the trailer, the original is one of my all time favourites, that being said because of Scott's last entry - Napoleon- I've had to temper down my expectations, and after watching the trailer I think it was the right choice. I will still watch it opening night so fingers crossed

If Connie Nielsen reprises her role, why not Djimon Hounsou 👀 They almost got me interested w/Denzel being Denzel & Pedro being Pedro + a water battle in the Coliseum 😮 But this trailer showed almost the whole movie = I'll hold off seeing this until the movie reviews come out.
