@@ownhero3466 In his previous company, in his first two solo releases they limited themselves to releasing physical copies of the albums (easy and soar), with no promotion. Part of that null promotion was because Wheein was not feeling well emotionally (anxiety). With the release of Redd, his previous comeback, a little more effort was seen in his promotions from the company. That's what was happening with Wheein before he changed companies for his solo career.

That she knows what's good for her. And one by one she unpacks one thing after another. Glad to know that I'm not the only one who saw this! Watercolor really made people more intrigued to hear her solo stuff! PWS was right when he said that the REDD album would really signify who Wheein is an artist. Now she is beginning to reap the benefits!

Is it tho? The MV getting views means relatively nothing if the listeners don't actually do anything after that. In comparison Redd has a decent amount of views and streams on spotify. While I know spotify isn't the only streaming platform it does give a decent picture of how well the song is doing. A lot of people may be watching the MV but I doubt any of them are listening to the song more than once since Make me happy hasn't even broken 200k on spotify.

Exactly! And for a company that just started out THEL1VE has done exceptionally well. I hope with this successful comeback, they invest even more in Wheein (and hopefully a 4K video next time 🙈) I think they're smart enough to realize that the more they invest in her, the more they'll succeed! @@aahoop6390 exactly, I’m a B could be so much more than what they made it too. RBW song production is good, there’s no doubt in it, but their promotion production budget is just sad at this point. RBW isn’t the worst company and is indeed a lot better than Cube, but they could be the worst in promoting. Easy is my favorite Wheein solo even today but it’s sad that we didn’t get to see its promotion just because it wasn’t “successful” enough to RBW. They didn’t even try to promote it. Same with Wind Flower. And then came Goodbye, same case. Eclipse too, atleast Moonbyul was able to perform it. Solar’s first solo project in RBW also. I’m so happy to see how Wheein’s TheL1ve debut mv turned out. Such a beautiful music video.

@@like_euphoria ah yes. The mess that was Guilty Pleasure's promotion. I honestly felt so SO bad for Hwasa. She was rushed (probably to save stupid rbdumb's asses with the investors. Like her news was legit released around the same time...and then the actual process was a whole month later. They just hurried out with the news and then in BTS we can see Hwasa was rushed into promoting it) They've been screaming how the company isn't dependant on MMM but they're still to this day known as MAMAMOO's company. If they were smart, they'd invest more and not less. And yes, their music production is so good and they have an eye for talent hence all their groups but why oh why do they suck so much at promoting 😭

Maybe director was inspired by it? But the actually concept is Alice in wonderland cartoon and movie homage. Fans have been wanting an Alice theme for years and Wheein has been hinting at it for over year. Also, a lot of the scenes in this mv parallel Wheein 2016 video easy, which was her first solo in old company while this is first in new company; Easy was about unhealthy relationship, while this is about healthy relationship and transformation/blooming. Just as an example; easy 2016 takes place in apartment with living room/bathroom/hallway/dinning room scenes. And some parallel in easy Wheein is seen with a bunch of retro tvs trying to capture love interests attention and making a fool to do so, in this she is on the retro tvs at the center of audience not needed another person to pay attention. In easy she writes on a mirror in anger. In this new vid she writes calmly the names of her own tattoos (sophy/magnolia/resonance), which are reference to her mother/herself/her best friend. There a scene in easy at end in bathtub where she’s alone, it’s empty and she talks to herself using shower head. Here, she’s in a bathtub full of flowers enticing the viewer no longer “empty”. There’s also a scene in easy where she’s in hallway and at one point dancing and later gets kicked back into small hallway and looks scared. In makes me happy she’s in a more roomy hallway dancing and is able to free fall through door and go into art painting (feels more of escape and less closed in or trapped). In easy, at points she is near and sits at long dinner table and tries to get bf attention, in this she drinks tea (like Alice scene) at long table and is simply basking in own comfort. There’s even scene in easy where she’s in living room reading a paper (or pretending to), while here she’s reading a book and not focusing on sneaking peaks/stalking another. Then The flowers/magnolias/butterflies in video are very personal to Wheein’s childhood and life in general. 90 percent of this video is different then one you referencing from Sel and the message sent and song are nothing similar. If anything, the director they used (outside company), was lazy and used templates for cgi that were similar to sel, but that’s not Wheein fault. Sel herself was accused of copy too. A lot of kpop in general is accused cause they all use similar director circles/mv templates and editing to save money. Forgot to add that easy and Alice both take place in houses/apartment, so of course they would use house. The camera is supposed to be like a butterfly perspective (and single shot mv are super popular), and in easy 2016 she punches a hole through bf chest/heart showing he is empty inside despite promises he makes to change. Here they have the hole from Alice in wonderland, except it’s full of flowers and butterflies and a method leading to fulfillment and transformation. The flowers become more and more present and ridiculous in this video to show this blooming idea (she looks like may flower queen at one point). Also, if you watch the teaser to makes me happy it proves it’s Alice in wonderland (she is in bedroom, places potion in eye that says drop me, and then is absorbed basically into hole in bed and brought to new better world). Also adding for tea; easy video can represent her mental state under old company; trying to change herself for their benefit and them only giving false promises in return, (but she is “not easy”. while new company is a rebirth/healthier and let’s her bloom. Hehehehehehe.

Like Moomoo's having to beg for subtitles for international fans, them not acknowledging that the groups achievements helped the company out of debt, them never having a proper world tour even though they've had a lot of international success, lack of promotion for WAW and not having properly prepared forThe Best Album pre-orders, the rush and lack of promotion of Hwasa's Album. These are just somethings that are more publicly known, but of course we don't see/know everything behind the scenes and they are a smaller company, so that plays a factor.It comes down to research and opinion.

F/W concert moved to an earlier date before all Four Seasons songs released + no rest after just finishing comeback promotions, Solar performing with injured back, university tours on the same day as stage performances in the early days, etc. - The WAW online concert mess. No prior promotions before ticket sales, few public events, tried moving the content from Mamamoo's official channel to RBW, which had an almost 60x reduction in subscribers (6mil vs 100k) -Occasionally botched solo promotions.
