In this edition of Tarikh, Nikhil narrates the battle of Chinsurah also known as the Battle of Biderra or Battle of Hoogly. This battle took place near Chinsurah in bengal on 25 November 1759 during the 7 Years' Wars between British East India Company and Dutch East India Company. After the Battle of Plassey, Mir jafar was limited to being a Puppet Nawab of Bengal. Mir Jafar Colluded with Dutch EIC to expel the British and establish himself as a strong ruler. Dutch EIC was also looking to establish themselves as the leading commercial company in Bengal. When the Dutch advanced up the Hooghly River. British and Indian Troops retaliated at Chinsurah, fifty kilometres outside Calcutta. The British, under Colonel Francis Forde, defeated the Dutch, forcing them to withdraw. Thank you for highlighting the story of my hometown Chinsurah. Chinsurah have another significant Historical Trivia. The novel 'Ananda Math',of which our national song 'Vande Mataram' became a part,was written by Bankim Chandra in this city when he was posted here as Deputy Collector in 1876.

The battle of Plassi which was fought between East India company and Nawab of Ayodhya, for this battle the troops of England started from Calcutta, the distance was 1000km, not a single Indian king even think to fight with this military forces.Nawab was having one Lakhs force with him,but because of the different opinion among Indian forces,they lost the important battle, and the rule of East India company started in india, and ultimately East India company captured India.

@guru ji What is your regional identity and cultural history? Hinduism is ancient religion mainly collection of mythology and Sanskrit is ancient language which is fading and already facings extinction. There's not a single city or town in whole Indian subcontinent where ancient sanskrit is widely spoken as a local language so basically no one speaks complexive ancients languages in this modern times 21st century and now a days hindi belt people speaks mughlai languages🙂 which were influenced during the timesof Muslim empires there are about 7000 arabic and Farsi word in modern day hindi influenced by muslim people of the subcontinent. Hinduism is ancient mythologies and collection of ancient myths and superstition rituals from stone age 10,000 bc, when humans were living primitive life worshipping stone and animals because of small comprehension of knowledge and lower wisdom the ancient humans. Hinduism is polytheistic religion which believe god himself incarnated into many avatars of humans and many other organism and animals including cow, monkey and pig(Bagwaan Varaha). The belief of many bagwaans incarnated into human flesh in the form of avatar led hierarchy into the indian society the Varna system. Each hindu refers himself from the Vanch(branch) of many different avatars which were incarnated into humans in different indian subcontinent regions according to hindu mythologies. Every and each region of Indian subcontinent has it own regional history, regional identity, cultural identity, regional linguistics and different racial profile and different cult groups with different rituals. Many dharam gurus claim to be born in the Vanch of lord Rama and Vanch of Lord Vishnu and Krishna. Then they loot indians in the name of spirituality and dharam.

It was practised when early human beings did not had yet learned how to write or preserve history. It was religion from early mans wisdom when humans were living primitive life and killing others on basis of cast and tribalism or Bali pratha killing human slaves for deity and sathi pratha . EARLY HUMAN BEINGS. Hindus in whole Indian subcontinent since ancient times were divided into many different kingdoms and empires and each kingdoms in the sub regions has it own regional identity, cultural identities, different linguistic, casteism they did not communicate each other rather then wars for expansions. Similarly Muslim from the west invaded and beat their ass and create hindustan what now you see today created familiar languages for communication. They dissolved ancient empires to dust
