Farmers of Barmer are making good money by date farming. Climate of Sahara and Thar desert are quite similar. In 2009 agriculture department of Rajsthan started a date farming pilot project in all Barmer District.

Sir जी इसके बीज से यह पेड़ फल नही देता आप को खजूर के पेड़ लगाने है तो 3000 रु एक टिशू कल्चर पेड़ की कीमत है जो आपको बीकानेर कृषि विभाग में मिलेगा देश मे सिर्फ बीकानेर कृषि यूनिवर्सिटी में ही खजूर की रिषर्च होती है

Thanks sir I also recommend adoption of scientific cultivation of date palm to obtained higher return per plant (Yield in Kg.) Self life of plant studied approximately 90-100 years and plants start fruiting after 5 years of plantation. Manually pollination is tedious job and look hard to find skilled and trained farmers for this necessary practice. (produce quality and get smart amount). Organic farming is the need of today.

Very nice reporting. Video show how the government and oficer can change the life of people. Also how educated farmer can take his farming to next level and be prosperous. My india is changing 👍👍😀.And the point he raised about marketing strategy is to be resolve. Because whenever we buy good quality dates it is usually from saudi arabia. Hope in few year i can get good quality indian dates to my market. Video changed my mind about farming.
