I'm an American based in Singapore and people here would like to have a President like Duterte. He's like Lee Kwan Yu very decisive, A compatriot and very compassionate to the people. Filipinos are lucky to have such Leader.

5 years ago, I was 10 years old. I didn't understand why my parents love this guy because when I watch tv there are some ads and news that talk about bad things about him. So now that I'm 15 I got curious and my neurons are hungry so I have to feed them. Now, I know the reason why and I understand the things that he did to our country. Indeed, Filipinos are so blessed to have him as a president. I don't know what will happen if Tatay will no longer be our leader. I hope elders will vote wisely.

Davao City is very lucky and privileged to have been served by this brave man. When your name went all over the news, I was still in the skeptical state with what you can do but reading and listening to all these write ups and videos about you, Im an instant fan. I am still hoping and I know almost all Filipinos (well, Filipinos who is willing for the change) that you run for President, Mayor. Kailangan na namin ng katulad mo. A friend was afraid a dictatorship would be like marcos' terror and abuses. If duterte is indeed the type who would become abusive, i think he would have shown that during his 22 years as mayor of davao. Up to now, though, i am yet to hear of any abuse of non violent law-abiding citizens from any davaoeno ive spoken to privately....Only criminals have had a taste of his wrath.... Thus, im convinced his interest really is for the country and willing to do what it takes to serve it truly--if seated in power...

A very interesting interview indeed with Mayor Duterte. its quit late now, but I'm not feeling sleepy in fact my whole mind is hyper active, too excited for the possibility of Duterte's Presidency. Every idea that he says is every bit a pinch of hope for all filipinos. it all makes sense and i firmly believe that he can do it. Duterte is not just like any other candidates who we know are stereo types, they will present all the best platforms they can but..they just lay down still on the paper and tongues of these typical candidates. Our country needs very much help NOW and i see nobody on the line up of Roxas, Poe, Binay or Santiago can be an answer to all of these heinous crimes. My and the other 70-80% of the society is clearly shouting and clamoring for a Duterte-style Presidency! Sadly, the media and other social system are influenced by other electoral candidates that are trying to blind and brain wash the people from understanding or looking clearly into a Duterte-style of government. They are setting black propagandas and other forms of destractions just to win for their dirty plans. Its clearly obvious, so now its up for each one of us to decide on how we would want our country be. If we don't act now then we will just be...a living dead! Every time he utters something about what the next president should do, i see visions of enterprising transformations of the Philippines and to my mind,no one could do it better than himself. If Davao is a country, I'd live there. I visited the city once, and I'm in love with it. If he's the president, it will be chaos in the first couple of years. For sure, the corrupt politicians will be the first target. And 5 years later, the Philippines will be up there, with the likes of Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan.... And maybe after 10 years, the likes of Korea and Japan, It's a tall order but very possible. It will be deadly, but possible.

As an American who has been to Davao I hope Duterte becomes your President. You can tell he loves his country. I wish the best for all you Filipino's. I can't wait to go back to your country, the people I've met there were very friendly and I had a great time.
