We used to start on a Thursday. The past two years they’ve switched it to Mondays (a full week) and they do have to peel me off the floor. 🤪 it’s rough for sure!

I had three days which were early dismissal(which I grateful for) followed by meetings until 3:00; then I had to go to my 2nd job(which I need because my husband tragically passed away), So, I'm extremely overwhelmed. Plus I work weekends. When I get home I do school work. Alicia from CT

I love using headbands and also you can do an escape rooms using a beach ball where depending on what color their left or right thumb (you decide) they answer a question based on that.

Full first week 🙋‍♀️. It's a killer. Thankfully we get a long holiday weekend too recuperate. I don't do anything on Labor Day.

We have a full week for the first week. We just finished week 2, and I am exhausted. I teach high school, so I have 3 blocks of kids and a class during lunch. I also had to go to the first football game of the season Friday night. I have slept most of the weekend.

Good morning! Are you all switching this year or are you all teaching just one grade level, one class again this year? I’m teaching 5th grade this year and I start my 3rd week of school this upcoming week. We eat breakfast in the classroom, BUT specials is back in the classroom AND lunch is in the cafeteria! 😀. Hallelujah! 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿. My 2nd time in 5th grade has been great thus far! 😀. Blessings to you for an amazing, productive, and successful school year!! 😀

This is my first ever full week of school for the first week- and it’s year 8 for me! It’s only Tuesday and I’m tired, so we’ll see how I do by Friday!

I used gumball machines with my 3rd graders... once they mastered all 12 times tables I would give them a gum ball machine to take home. Yes, it did get expensive some years, however, my scholars went to 4th mastering an important third grade standard. ;0) It was fun!!! I was wondering what brand your cube microphone is and where I can get one? That looks super fun and may help with some of my soft talkers and inspire my no talkers. Thank you for sharing your classroom experiences... it is very enjoyable... Michelle

My first week with students was a minimum day on a Thursday and full day on Friday. It was short. The following week was a FULL week. And our grade level did Back To School night in Zoom on Thursday.

I only have three days on my first week back with kiddeos . Yhankful for that , because it gives an idea of who wants to participate actively , but if you do a full week tell me how you manage . I couldn't do honestly. I neeed that time to prep.

Hi! Anyone got advice for me? Im anxiety ridden about teaching and the virus? Any new techniques you may have put into place to help still be an efficient teacher?? Anything to make it safer and make me less stressed will help alot!
