I shared Kev’s story about communicating with my 70 year old mother. He said something to the effect of he either told Melissa or wanted to tell her not to go to Dani’s because she was always over there but what he really meant was I miss you and I want to spend time with you. It’s like a lightbulb went off in my mom’s head. I’ve heard her and my dad communicate in a hurtful manner all my life, and it just makes you wonder what the missed underlying messages were for them for the past 50 years. Old people think because they’ve lived through it all they know it all. That ain’t true. My mom was like I wanna start communicating better and saying what I really feel instead of coming off nagging and bitter. That’s what I love about this podcast. It changes you for the better. Taking these gems into future relationships. ❤️❤️❤️

Her doctor refused to tie them without his signature! When I worked retail, it was common for older women to come in with credit cards that said Mrs. insert husband's name.

My husband won't work. He wants me to stay at home, but his pickiness in finding the "right job" has taken 14 months so far and has me working full time and doing all of the house chores. I broke under the pressure, started performing poorly at work, and got let go. So even though I am now a homemaker like we wanted, he still won't work full time nor will he file for unemployment because he doesn't want help from the government. What do I do?
