I just don’t have enough zeros in my bank account to even dream about flying like this. My best flight experience was first class on American Airlines from Germany to the US and I thought that the lie flat bed and real silverware was absolute heaven! It’s amazing to see how fancy a flight can get. Great video! ❤

Economy class looks good too. One of those airlines that manages to offer a bit of luxury to passengers traveling on all budgets.

The lounge was very nice ... handsomely elegant! As for the Residence, I believe I would crawl right into that bed and stay there for the remainder of the flight. Maybe I could get someone to toss me a grape every now and then! Just let me sleep! Lol!

I remember those fabulous, very refined and expertly trained butlers looking after the residences. Still, having that private bathroom and bedroom is amazing along with all that space and privacy.🥂

No matter how long that flight was, my body would have been sleeping on that bed. 😴 A never again experience, Middle Eastern airlines just do things better than their counterparts. Thanks for sharing 👍👍

I flew with Etihad for years when I lived in the Gulf. I typically flew business class and occasionally got lucky enough to be upgraded to first class on a short connecting flight into Riyadh or Jeddah. Over the years though, it seems that Etihad has made a few cutbacks on service and amenities. For example, years ago, business class passengers were able to receive complimentary spa service in Abu Dhabi Etihad lounges, but then the complimentary spa services were cancelled for business class and only extended to first class. I haven’t kept up to date with Etihad to know if first class passengers could still get complimentary spa service in Abu Dhabi. So it’s not that surprising to learn that the Residence no longer has a private butler like it used to. I thought it added to a nicer more personalized touch although I’d never be able to afford it. Don’t get me wrong. Etihad is still a wonderful airline, much better than most. I’ve just noticed changes, not necessarily for the better, in the years I’ve flown with them. Hopefully, when I’m able to fly with Etihad again, they’ll live up to being the airline I fell in love with the first time I traveled with them.

Keep them coming for the ones who doesn't get to go anywhere. People can only dresm of going to these beautiful places like you do. Talk about going on these beautiful adventures you certainly know how to entertain your viewers.

Flown with Etihad in BC. A few times. Never been overly impressed. Don’t get me wrong it’s better than flying economy. But I still think Qatar and Emirates with a course by course meal and their meal offerings were just as good as your Etihad First class means they win. And even the Qatar and Emirates A380 lounges seem bigger with more offerings. The London Qatar lounge is a combined First and BC lounge so what they had to do was you got a raised offering for BC as well (restaurant, off menu ordering etc) that is actually better than I found many other BC lounges. Would i fly Eithad again - yes if someone else was paying. But I would spend my own money on Qatar or Emirates before Eithad.

As expected, the lounge is out of this world!! More Luxury than lots of 5 star hotels! The suite, is probably bigger than some tiny house bedroom :) There are so many great food selections :), I wonder did expert ever try to empty the digestion system, before going to the lounge? Once again, thanks Expert!

Superb accommodation. I don’t think anyone does luxury air travel quite like Etihad.

What's really cool, Dr. LTE, is that your luxury suite has a hallway--lol. I've seen a few other videos of this suite--one traveler said he was too excited to sleep. (I felt perhaps Etihad could have provided him with a teddy bear to make him feel more at home :) Gotta say that Etihad A380 is one absolutely gorgeous featherless bird! (Fabulous lounge, too.) 9:45 Incidentally RyanAir which operates at the complete opposite of the economical spectrum than this channel focusses on has a similar safety record, with only one hull loss (flight 4102; due to birdstrike, not something you can prevent with safety measures) and a forced landing by the Belorussian air force (flight 4978; not something you can prevent either). They have been in operation for two decades longer than Etihad, in their first two decades they had zero incidents. Safety isn't a luxury.

Thanks for new great video. The comfort level in the new residence is once again storming the heavens. Etihad is a great compromise between cheap European and expensive Middle Eastern airlines. At the same time, they are close to the best of the top five companies in terms of service, but often much cheaper than them in terms of prices. The main disadvantage of Etihad was connecting in the tired terminals of Abu Dhabi airport. Now this disadvantage has disappeared with the appearance of a new terminal, which is not inferior in comfort to the airports in Doha or Dubai.

Fantastic review - beautifully shot and a most welcome review from all the 'look at me!' Vloggers. I was lucky enough to travel Etihad First (not the Residence though) at the back end of last year and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I did however think the quality of wines was below par (especially when compared to competitors' offerings and the apartment was a bit of a waste as there was no need to convert the sofa into a bed during what was a 7 hour, daytime flight. A flight to NYC would justify it far more.

Quite frankly for what is no doubt a $15,000-$20,000 flight per person while this is nice for couples the fit and finish is nothing like the Cabin Suites on Singapore Air that have natural wood and gold trim and cool lighting preferences. Also their wine list blows away this one (I know ...have been collecting and tasting for well over 30 years). Actually most impressed with the econ class which looks super nice and actually a bit luxurious for economy when compared to others.

I remember a few years ago, we flew with the same plane, same route, and mid flight the plane turned back to Abu Dhabi because one of the engines shut down. Scary experience was.

What a flex. First it was I have a seat that converts to a bed. Now, I have a separate bedroom with my own toilet and shower. Etihad never fails to impress.

I have been waiting for this since I heard that you were going to do it! Everything looked amazing from the lounge to the area itself. Too bad that the amenities kit (did I miss it? I didn't see it...) and the service is the same as first, I think it would make a nice parting gift.

My idea of flying, but id want to have a long haul flight of 13hrs so i could use the bedroom. For an Australian, that was a short flight, pity because it looks sublime. It takes me 22hrs to fly to London from Sydney Australia, 2 connections. But the longest connection is 13hrs and i just can't do it anymore cattle class. I need to win the lottery 😩. ❤❤😂😂

During covid, when A380s were being deserted, i thought airlines will abandon them but it's good to see A380s back in skies. Earlier, Etihad used to offer complimentary chauffer car to pick you up from hotel or residence, they used to send 2 cars, 1 for luggage second for passengers. Is this service still there or have they removed it? Thanks for this video, had been long time seen an A380! Namaste.

Very good video. The Residence is something I'd love to try but probably never will...7 hour flight doesn't seem enough really. First class lounge looks good and of course on board is amazing. Isn't there a Residence lounge to visit at Abu Dhabi Terminal A?

I have almost been there.... A flight from London to Abu Dhabi on A380 First Apartment in 2017. Staff could have been better, compared to Qatar and Emirates. :)

One way tickets from $24,000 to $38,000. At this point it's literally cheaper to charter a private jet. *Edit: Apparently those were pre-pandemic numbers, the upgrade is now offered to select first-class passengers and costs around $2,000 - $4,000 (on top of regular airfare, I presume).
