I've been having a tough time with the fit of these Intuition liners in my Them 909. They're just not at all comfortable. So this week I finally heat molded them in the oven, and took them to my favorite ledges to give them a try.

@almostremembered 4 жыл бұрын
@@user-nn8gg2yh8r I could be wrong because so many skate boots come from so many similar (or the same) molds, different soul frames can fit on a quite a lot of them. Probably just a matter of sanding/shaving a bit of material off the inside of the soul plate or potentially adding some material.
@danatello8489
@danatello8489 4 жыл бұрын
@@almostremembered I saw it done on Reddit, Sway souls on Them 908s. The guy said some grinding/sanding helps, but you can manage getting them to fit on with a little force. Also it requires drilling for the different bolt pattern, but I wasn't sure which he drilled, the boots or the souls, to accommodate the other 🤷 Law if you do this, PLEASE post a video. The 908s are the best fitting aggressive skate for my foot, but the soul is too narrow to learn royales so far 😢

Hey Law, I was feeling quite the same with my Intention V2 when I bought the Wizard Skate NR100, but after a few session the liner started feeling amazing. I did hot moulded with hot rice inside a sock, making a small improvement. But what started making a huge difference was to put on the liner and tie the laces super tied, and then put the skates on. It makes a huge improvement. Im getting my 909 this week so Im going to compare them with the Intuition V2 and see if they perform similarly. I'll upload my review of the two intuition liners so that my give you a bit of additional info. But more importantly. be patient with the liner. Once you brake it in, you'll love them.

TLDR: Solid session! I agree and had similar experiences. Wall of text: Although I almost coulndn't believe your first video (being a fan of the intuition v2) I have to admit that I had similar issues now I had one session with them (stiff and even still slightly uncomfortable after heatmolding - guess I tightened them up too much). I am, however, positive the 909s with the intuitions will get better and better with time (as opposed to some skates and liners that will get worse because of too much sloppiness after break-in). At least the v2 worked for me like that (used on a Seba SX for break-in and then putting it into a Razors Shift). Really interested in that Sway soulpate conversion and your experience as I'm leaning towards that myself. The stiffness at the beginning (which will break-in I hope) and the slim soulplate (which will only get slimmer ;-) don't help with royales or topsides I agree - but coming from a Razors Shift to the 909s I have to say that the soulplates slide a hell of a lot faster out of the box which is really nice and which almost outweighs their slimness. You seem to be slilding very well on them as well! "Souls are feeling pretty good" indeed! The first time I don't get stuck on training AO souls at low speeds. They just slide! You have more experience with other souplates - what's your comparison here? Same/better then USD VIIs/Aeons/5th elements/etc.? As the 909s have a different shell break than most other brands and are better for a higher and wider feet I truly recommend them to anybody being on the lower end of some shell like me. For me it was the best fitting and most supportive skate out of the box so far. (and I have tried K2 Varsities, Razors Shifts, Seba SXs, USD Sways and Valo V13s with stock and intuition liners being 2 years back to blading). Liking that you only do small changes for each video. I just heatmolded and put the cuff down before I first skated them, but it is good to hear of your more thorough and systematical approach! Sorry for the long text, but I really feel strongly about this boot and the liner and I don't think I'm completey blinded by the hype either... ;-) Keep THEM videos coming!

I've been skating my them skates and aeons to compare differences and figure out what I like in a skate. the aeons are great I don't know if this is normal but it seems like in getting wear and tear on them a lot faster than my them skates. the aeons are great for groove tricks in comparison but I feel like I have more control with soul tricks on my them skates. I I guess that's the trade-off. after skating my aeons my ankles feel pretty banged up for a couple days maybe it's the my fit liner? I'm waiting for some intuitions in the mail hope they offer more support.

Try loosening you buckle one or 2 notches for your topside on ledges. Not too noticeable of a difference but does give just a bit more flex. It will help get a little lower on to the frame and less wheel roll.

Topside acid first t! Not of a fan of them skates personally. I love my aeons just stinks I can't ride my balance frames on them I would absolutely love a helmet law! Kind of feel bad submitting a trick of the month without one but currently laid off and can't get through to unemployment. :/ good luck to everyone
