Because Allain Johannes was just included out of pity. If you look carefully his guitar isn't plugged into anything, nor does it even have strings.

Never liked Josh Homme’s voice much. maybe it’s just my personal opinion, but they could have gotten a much better singer elsewhere. otherwise though, these guys rock. it’s always a blessing to have Dave behind a kit again
