Synopsis: Them is a limited anthology series that explores terror in America. The 1950s set first season centers on a Black family who moves from North Carolina to an all-white Los Angeles neighborhood during the period known as The Great Migration. The family's idyllic home becomes ground zero where malevolent forces, next-door and otherworldly, threaten to taunt, ravage and destroy them.

Compton and other inner city/urban areas are what they are today because of the distribution of narcotics brought into this country by the CIA. Haven’t either of you seen Boyz in tha Hood? The citizens of Compton weren’t oppressing themselves economically and they certainly weren’t trafficking cocaine and heroin in this country. That came after local cartels distributed it to the streets where dealers like Freeway Ricky Ross were slanging to get out of the streets. Take the victim blaming elsewhere.

@@TheNichq What?? The racism creates a lot of bad. I will try to explain. in 1933 a family could get on credit a new home. if you were a white family. (If One wants to segregate people IT worked, and now the price is being paid. We missed a great chance) Read the history. The horrible effects of this are felt today. It makes me sad, I would love to see the country heal from this, deep DEEP wound. I am a 60 year old white male, and it saddens me that this country blew a big chance (generations deep) Just think how much better it would of been if every HUMAN got equal chance.(hell no slavery,ever in history would have been great but even that could have healed some, if we had not created the segregation in 1933, (and many other chances after that) All of our cultures would have been melded better than it is now. Would we still have racism? ....sure, but it wouldn't have been so wound in the life's of so many generations. what a missed opportunity. Can we heal? I hope so. but we (Caucasians/society) have educational work to do... ONE PLACE = EARTH ONE RACE = HUMAN...........PEACE & HOPE

It shows us that people have come a long way in becoming human again. There is much more inner work to be done because this divisiveness is crumbling everything around us. Only when humans can work as one will this society heal and maybe with sheer will we could all heal Mother Earth. I see that there are better ones being born everyday the smarter ones who will treat each other good.

Is that right? Slavery still exists, they are just housed in third world countries making our consumer products we use everyday. In fact, there is more slavery now than there has ever been in history.

Just started watching season 1 so I can watch season 2. It’s is very hard to watch very disturbing scenes I couldn’t complete it past episode 5 I was really disturbed

I am having so many reactions to this I got through Love Craft Country. This for some reason is much more visceral. It’s not going to be an easy watch.

Thank you for sparing me the energy of having to write this exact same comment cuz this looks almost identical to LC .. and id definitely say LC was extremely visceral.. there were scenes in that mere one season.. that almost made me vomit knowing they were CGI (Which is incredibly hard cuz suspending my disbelief with CGI is not an easy task) and spooked tf outta me (the dancing twins) So based on this trailer I'll go out on a limb and assume the opposite and say this actually looks like a safer version of Lovecraft County IMHO.

@@adyvandeplas2519 I think everyone KNOWS these things happen. They just don't happen only to black people. The moment a minority is placed in a majority, these things start to happen, no matter the skin color or believe. Saying this ONLY happens to black people, THAT is what people have a problem with. And shows like this only emphasize that wrong view.

No one has EVER said racism only happens to black people. We all know racism happens to any skin color that is not white. It's crucial EVERY race, that's ever dealt with racism, tells their story to educate. Too bad to those of you who can't handle that. It's never going to stop because clearly racism is never going to stop.
