Yeh, the samurai is a definite love story! I have it for more than 3 years yet I still look at it admiringly when I wear it ☺️. The dial, case shape and finishing is sooooo interesting!

I was in cash converters the other week and spotted an SPB077 in the cabinet priced £450. Took a close look and it was mint. Looks unworn. Not even the usual marks on the clasp, boxed with paperwork. I asked if there was any flexibility in the price. The girl went away, came back with £400. I said £350 sounds better, so she goes away again, comes back and says YES 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 I'm wearing it as I write. A nos £1000 watch for almost a third the retail price. It's my new fave. There's just something about Seiko divers isn't there.

I totally agree about Seiko being the best and my favorite brand. BUT!! Citizen made a watch that for me is the best of the best. I fell in love with it when I was a kid and still in love after years owning it. It is the Promaster Aqualand (JP2000-08E) and you SHOULD make a video review about that MASTERPIECE! 😂🎉🤪💪✌️🖐️

I've really slowed down buying Seiko's lately, but I do have some absolute stalwart Seikos in the collection that will never leave. Surprised about the dumping of the Alpinist as it's one of my favourites, but each to their own, right 😉. Another great video MWC

Thumbs up 👍🏽 for the Samurai as well. Been on my wrist for over a year now. The movement, that dial, the feel of the bezel…it’s my favorite daily watch. Upgraded to the Strapcode Hexad which looks like it was made for the angular Samurai. Killer watch!

I have the green sumo SPB103J1 and the PADI Sumo SPB181J1. I swamped the bracelets out for two strapcodes and IMO they look stunning, get lots of compliments. Great video 👍

I love Seiko watches since my old man bought one for himself new in 1969. That thing was stunning and ran for decades. Anyway Seiko would do well to do a 60’s -70’s reissue line and especially the Pogue. I’d buy that watch in a heartbeat, because I love the story it brings. You’ve chosen your Seiko collection … wisely.

What a great collection! I must say I am not a big fan of Seiko myself mostly because of the case sizes and thicknesses they put out these days. But I really like what you have here. Amazing. Good mix of performance and visual attractiveness. Fantastic.

The 38.5 SNE Diver Collection and the Panda Seitona are my most recent Seiko editions and I love them. If you’re talking about full blow Rolex “style” from a reputable brand non homage you can’t beat them.

Compliments on a fine collection there MWC. I have liked Seiko ever since seeing Roger Moore in Moonraker wearing one as a kid at Christmas one year. My Seiko is an SRPG29, have had it a couple of years or so and I must say out of all my watches this is my go to one, there aren’t many days when I’m not wearing it. I love the size, it’s not flashy, auto, 100m, great lume etc - it’s also the backup watch that I always take with me on holiday. It’s fantastic.

My blue Land shark (I think the blue one is actually known by a different name which I can't remember!) Is my daily beater. I think it must be about 10 to 15 years old now. The aluminium bezel insert got a little scratched up so I bought a ceramic bezel insert to replace it in the same blue colour and HELLO......suddenly it's raised it's game and is a better looker than it ever was. Still a great watch and I love the old 5 applied logo. Great Channel mate, always a good watch.........err to watch.

Speaking of the Pogue my Auntie had been having a bit of a tidy out and asked me if I wanted two watches she had found that once belonged to my Uncle, I nearly fell over when she presented me with a Seiko 6139-6002 & a Seiko 6117-6400, I couldn’t believe I had the Pogue in my hands. Both watches need some serious attention and I've got a few options re them being looked at so we'll see what happens.

So cool Seiko sent you a 55th Sports to keep, another reason to love them. I can say the new SJE is a true stunna!

That 55th Anniversary model is now my third most worn watch, behind my Seiko SRPJ91 (another retro inspired revival model) and my Casio AE1200, love it. I’m not a sporty fellow, but the style just kills. Fantastic collection!

The SKX013 is such a great simple little watch. I totally love it for it for it's simplicity and the good quality. The fact that it is a true divers watch also adds to that!

I have that Seiko dark samuari save the ocean for a while, absolutely love it...but just seeing those lovely end-links for the first time, looks good on the Samuari. I disagree its very blue. The dial does not shiny blue till it hits lots of light, stunning

I have 5 Seikos in my collection . 1 Presage Cocktail time, 1 Hulk , 1 Sumo Pepsi, 2 Samurai`s ( Great white shark and Orange Samurai). My Grat white Shark goes in the ocean when snorkeling/ diving as I live in Florida. I will never give up my Seiko`s ! Good move getting rid of the Alpinist I hate that watch.🍻

I did the same 2 years ago and sold my SARB033 and SARB017. Was not wearing them enough as well. I really tried to keep them in the collection especially the Alpinist. I even bought it the 2 tone bracelet but it made the lug to lug too long. Love your collection, missed out on the SKX013.

The Seiko I’ve had my eyes on is the Presage SPB359J. It’s a tribute to the Laurel which was Seiko and Japan’s first wristwatch made in 1913.

Have to say, never having been a big Seiko fanboy cause I share your wife's thoughts on some of these, BUT I ABSOLUTELY ADORE THAT BLUE SAMURAI - want it 🩵 Also love the Landshark, even better than the Flighty. Seems you need a box of CWCs as well 😁👍 Love your shows mate!

It’s a shame the wife isn’t a fan of the Arnie-Digi, but happy to hear she had some good words on the Samurai. I also have it on a CWR strap, love the integrated look. Looks amazing on a Hexad Miltat, too! Much chunkier than the OEM oyster, but it just looks so right.

Equals Jacuzzi because; 1) The case is Jacuzzi shaped and 2) the busy chapter ring of the dial looks like all the jets going off ... there I said it ... new nickname for the Seiko 5 Sport - the 'Jacuzzi' ... or 'watchtub' (a play on hot tub) since I believe the Jacuzzi name is trademarked.

Never been disappointed with a Seiko! Nor an edition of the MWC. If I may suggest ... include a bonus watch on the next 10 collection ... And keep the Flighty. 🙂 (You never know when you will need the logarithmic function ... on your wrist watch!)

Since we have similar taste, which Seiko are you missing? My vote is one of my personal favorites...which is about 4 year old Seiko Tuna 300m Quartz with domed Hardlex and stainless bezel. Seiko Prospex ref no.SBBN033 Marine master Professional. The 031 is liked as well with black bezel but I prefer the stainless bezel with 'polished' tuna shroud which gives the watch a lot of presence if not bling. So that would be my vote among your collection. The newer sapphire crystal version of the Tuna 300m Quartz is flat and many Seikophiles therefore prefer the original Hardlex version which is domed and adds more character. A watch I will never sell speaking of love affairs. I have owned many Seiko's and few of what you have but this is among my very favorite and we about the same wrist size. It works best on rubber of your choice to better control the CG of the watch versus a steel bracelet where it's more floppy and adds to net weight. Watch head is about 100g or so and not overly heavy. It wears much smaller than its dimensions. This watch also has a high end quartz movement, extremely accurate with inordinately long battery life. I am at about 4-5 years now on the original battery. Its has an elegant masculinity...a rare combination of sorts as most watchs are one without the other...but this watch is both aesthetically beautiful with incredible legibility and a quintessential tool watch....you may appreciate as well. Love your channel and wonderful wit in a world that needs more joy so thanks for that. Cheers from America.

Hi MWC. I have an idea for an episode... Go back through all the wife's comments and try to purchase a watch she should like based on previous feedback. - Make as many categories as you want, such as quartz, chronograph, diver, cyclops etc. Some watches may hit a few categories - rank feedback - define what attributes she likes or dislikes - find a watch that hits as many positive feedback categories as possible while avoiding negative feedback

Add the Seiko 5 Military Automatic blue Nylon Strap SNK807K2. For me makes a great watch to wear for the summer. The strap do softens up wearing it for a week 🙂. Absolutely loving this watch. I’m now looking at a seiko watch that’s looks close to a Rolex 🙂
