As an American living outside the US, there are a FEW things that I miss. Mostly some of the foods and flavors I grew up with.

Yes, things that can't be easily cook at home, especially when one is away from the home country for so long. We left NYC in 2018 and even though we went back to celebrate Christmas with family in 2020, it seems like a really long time.

No it's not great. First of all american food is disgusting and unhealthy, and second: when in rome do as the romans. You are NOT supposed to live like an american outside of america. That's why you left - to experience new things, not old things.

OK those buns look great !! I totally get craving for that home comfort food when you are travelling and so often when you find it - it just doesn't taste right - so pleased you weren't disappointed. enjoy.

It was really good. We are happy that we found them and one of them actually worked at the most known cinnamon roll store in the US. Now, I gotta watch after Lieles so he doesn't get his sugar levels high up.

Thank you guys!! I'll keep him on a balance diet so he doesn't go too much out of control hahaha. No, honestly, he was super conscious about what his food intake needed to be and he did and still doing great. Now we just gotta get him to walk more.😂😂

At the moment just the rolls. I'm in Romania and I used to find them at a Mall in Bucharest but then they were gone and could not find them at any restaurants after. Now I'm in Brasov and can't find them here either. I'll keep looking if not, I'll try making my own.

Pancakes and Cinnamon rolls are not hard to make yourself. Like, seriously. If I was craving that for six years, I would have just looked up a youtube recipe video and made it myself.

I agree but not every country has the same ingredients. Also, I can't find maple syrup here 😭 and I need that for my pancakes. It's also the same with the icing for the cinnamon rolls. Unfortunately, I don't like having things half done. I rather not bother at all if I can't have it the way I want it.

Every chinese person I met in serbia said that the chinese food in serbia was very close to original chinese food in china. In the USA you people get a diluted version.

I can believe that but for a different reason. American food is horrible when it comes to the amount of sugar and chemicals put in it. So, I wouldn't say ours is diluted, I think it was on either crack or steroids 🤣 and now I'm getting the real deal and going through withdrawal lol.

@@TheMamuchos Yeah, you can put it that way. But what I meant by diluted was that the "chinese soul" in it was diluted with other elements to accommodate the american palate. And it is a very demanding palate for YES - sugar. I remember my time in the US all too well - it was impossible to eat anything as all tasted like cake. Bread tasted like cake. Ugh. So my mom had us practically living on meat, potatoes and raw veg, as these were the only things she could control the taste of by cooking them herself. So to this day, the only food I sort of miss from my stay in america is steak, lol. You do make the best steaks I'll give you that.
