5 mins in he’s tearful. That’s me. I do it all the time. I’ve never known anyone else like this. I tear up talking to people all the time, especially over good things like babies and puppies and happy stories. I am terrible for it. Anyhow this is a great farm and video. Thanks so much for this.

The biggest difference for me is you don’t have to wash flowers! I love growing veggies, but we’re switching to do more flowers. They make us so much more money in less bed space. However like she said if you don’t harvest at the right time the flowers become useless and go to seed so fast for some varieties. Neither my wife or live making bouquets, so we’re going to hire someone to take that on next year

One thing I will say though- although the washing of some veggies can be very time consuming, some flowers can be very time consuming to harvest. They you have to strip all the leaves off, & some have thin stems so you have to take off one at a time. Then you have to put them one at a time in the bucket because the stems get tangled if you try to harvest & keep flowers in your hand & harvest more. Just something to think about.

Beautiful, fabulous video. You both radiate competency with a large measure of humility and willingness to allow the earth to be your primary teacher. Love and emotion on your sleeve is a rare thing to see and it is so heartwarming❤

very nice! I admire people who can understand and speak multiple languages. The wholesale greenhouse flower grower that I worked for as a kid instilled a lifelong love of plants in me. JM, my wife laughs at me when I get emotional about unusual things. :)

Hi there are beneficial insects in the garden that kill pests so if you know what pest you have that is destroying your Dahlia flowers, buy beneficial insects that kill and eat them and/or interplant the Dahlia with plants that these beneficial insects like! That way you don't have to protect your flowers and avoid using toxic sprays - Just a tip x

such a great tour and explanation! Lisianthus grows native in our texas prairies and doesn't have a scent naturally :) but I agree about biennials. they're a pain because they take so long but they bloom in the gap season (here in texas, it falls on mother's day, oof!)

this might sound ridiculous but to be honest with you the way that you were going to attract people to the floral industry is with sent it's in our nature to gravitate towards things that bring us pleasure and our senses deliver that but if you have flowers that were genetically modified in order for them to have a longer lifespan though they might be beautiful they are incomplete I worked in a grocery store in the floral department and when I first arrived there none of the flowers had any smell except for the occasional potted plant that came through that you could smell within 20 feet of that department it brought people to the department people didn't normally look at the flowers or even know that they were there because they were so busy running through the store getting the things that they needed it wasn't calling their attention so no matter how beautiful the flowers are without their signature which is scent they're not that precious You've heard the saying take time to stop And smell The roses It didn't say take time to stop and look at the roses There's a reason And ask people we know that love is very important To fall in love with everything and how can you fall in love with something just because it's pretty you're falling in love with the essence of that thing whether it be a flower a plant a human and animal a tree water the rocks You understand? Life is love all things that are living but has a special essence it is their soul expression My recommendation is not to worry about productivity and chasing the money but to develop a business that encompasses all of those things it should be for the love of So when you purchase your flowers or your seeds make sure that they are heirloom or organic That they have not been genetically modified and that they contain all of their special characteristics including their precious essential oils which are released drawing your audience near I have to tell you I adore him he is perfect Someone who allows himself to be emotional and to feel his feelings and that comes through on his interview and it's really beautiful very refreshing That's what makes him so special and we all have that so do the flowers let's not forget
