"Final Boss: Lady"
- The final battle! The final boss theme, "Lady's Tear 2", is one of my favorite final boss theme ever! You can feel her rage and anger from the music (piano, etc) up to her sorrow and sadness (violin part) of the theme.
Damn.. if you don't do sidequests (I only did Hilda and Shania as you saw on my previous videos), this is really tough being only lv48-53. I don't even have everyone's best gear or spells too.
Also you can't use buffs or debuffs as Lady will auto-remove it giving her an extra turn to deal damage (while you lose yours for wasting a turn buffing).
I pretty much went defensive to assure they don't get Combos from Stock to assure I live.
Poor Hilda, she dies like almost everytime lol... at least Frank was manly enough to survive that insane damage attack to make a huge comeback!
Oh yea, I'm damn tired too when I was streaming this final battle.. so yea.. didn't risk for Strikes as much as I normally do.

The scene before the final boss in FtNW is honestly one of the most emotional and well done scenes in gaming. Shadow Hearts is the definition of underrated.

They definitely wanted you to remember this final boss. Out of the three Shadow Hearts, Lady and Unbral can really bring the hurt no matter how well leveled you are. Ultimate equipment and spells are a must for this one and there are no cheap exploits either (like SH2's infamous Eternal Key trick).

I disagree. I really didn’t have that much of a problem with them, but then again, if you don’t bring Johnny and use his Ether Purge (after Awaker transformation) ability, then you’re pretty much doing this fight on hard mode (like this player did).

I'm currently in the Pirate area and already this game is challenging me with the boss battles. The Iast battle I fought was a game between doing constant damage to the boss and balancing all three bars (MP, SP, HP), which started becoming an endurance round. I can't imagine how hard this battle is.

Cuando tenia 14 años jugué este juego... constantemente repetía este final porque era una delicia para mi, era un juego dirigido a personas que de verdad querían un reto. Una parte de mi alma tiene impresa este juego.

One of the hardest boss I fought back in the old days. Pure nightmare. I think I lost about 10 hours of my life trying to defeat her and failed. I remember I got stuck in the checkpoint before her thanks to a sad mistake. I saved both my savings slot. Huge mistake I did. Sad but true.

Diego Luís I got stuck on malice killer I guess I was too under leveled that was years ago haven't played it since I'm debating to get a ps2 again so I can play this series again that and there's a few other games I didn't get a chance to beat the hack infection games and tales of legendia

Mc lovin me too... exactly. The rpg today show the level of the boss, but in the ps1-ps2 era they didnt show. Me too. I am searching a ps2 to buy here in Brazil, but they are expensive and kind of rare.

Don't take this wrong way, but this isn't GameFAQs. There are tons of spoilers on KZfaq left and right. Most of us come here if we never plan on playing a game and just want to watch the cutscenes or we've already played the game and we know what to expect. Incidentally, it was pretty obvious from the start that Lady would be the final boss. Who did you think it was going to be?

I know she is kinda evil incarnate but goddamit I do love the struggle lady goes through. This is one of the best final bosses, you hear her pain and anguish in every attack and malice umbral will kick your ass if say, you rented the game and didnt have the time to do all the sidequests before fighting her. (I had 4 hours left, I barely pulled a win, got the bad ending but im happy)

Well Killer is kinda involved in the final boss. The grief his "death" caused Lady made her "summon" Unbral. But I think Lady and Killer side by side with some kind of stuff happening would be even more interesting than this.

You misunderstood. The Eternal Key trick doesn't work in this version is what I said. Attempting to do it results in nothing happening.

Just a curiosity question, as with any RPG it's always interesting to hear this point of view and I never beat this game though I'm definitely going to now, haha. Did you choose this team because you liked their personalities? Or because they were the strongest in the game?

blakorean27 I chose Hilda (slim on first game curvy on second) cuz I loved her personality and she's related to Joachim and Keith from the previous games and their family is rlly interesting also I chose Mao (I like cats what can I say lol) I had Johnny (main character) and shania (she was strong and deserved the revenge on lady even tho lady is amazing)

what version? in this game? you can get the eternal key by taking every single photo with johnny, and then go to chicago to speak with that guy that trade photos, it have to be the New Game + i think.

Johnny always deals the final blow if he is in the battle and not kocked out, otherwise it is whoever the player is controlling

I used and abused Slim Hilda with her Mask. I made her a very powerful Magic based character XD

omg you're the first guy that i see a party without johnny, did you get the final skill of awaker?

nope, the strongest in the game is Johnny / Awaker, if you do the purgatory quest, you can get the strongest attack ( Ether Purge) the strongest team to fight her is, Johnny, Shania, Natan and Hilda, you can beat the final boss with just one combo :)

I made a terrible mistake my first playthrough of this game, I had read that the final boss was one of the most difficult in the ps2 jrpg games so I decided to face her with all my characters level 99, the ultimate weapons and armors, awaker with the ability ether purge, tirawa with her abilities at max, curvy hilda with all her healing skills and ricardo with all level 4 magic along with melt crest magic, I only needed one round ruining the true experience of this boss :(

For pete's sake. -_- I'm saying you can't do the Eternal Key trick in this SH, the one where all you have to do is hit one area for the Judgment Ring and the game does all the hits in the combo. You could do this in Shadow Hearts 2, but not this one.

@@guilhermegmoreir I don't think it does.. IIRC, she just straight steals your turn to use lost progress, even doing multiple times if you use buffs with more than 1 character

SPOILER COMMENTS! :D But yeah. I heard that Hilda can become something like Joachim in SH2. Like the Great Question. I think she's called Mask of ? in it right? Does she have to be Curvy Hilda in order to become the Mask of ? or what am I doing wrong o_o

FenrirStormheart no she can be in any form for it except bat I believe but Joachim earns the mask in the man festival and Joachim does a similar thing and cuz Hilda won the greatest gets the mask

It was an item you could use in place of your regular attack options and the character would just keep attacking until the enemy was dead. Just look up Shadow Hearts Eternal Key. It is pretty ridiculous. You can do something similar in FtNW, but only up to 5 times I think.

pozertron nah it had to be lady cuz she is the main villain especially To shania but I wish that she didn't just die in one hit she still had that 2700 Hp and we have to beat her down

First you change your Judgment Ring type to Gamble. Then during battle, use the Eternal Key and hit the one hit/strike area the ring gives you when it's time to spin. Once you do this, your character will attack endlessly until the target dies. To get the highest possible number of hits, equip Geppetto with his weakest weapon and use it on the final boss. You'll get 10000 hits (I did it). You'll have to sit and let the game play that out for a while though.

this game looks awesome but the ring thing looks tedious. does anyone know if this is for all the games is there a way to not use the ring. thats the only thing stopin me from playing it.

beto diaz The ring is, as far as I'm aware, for all the games. I know it's in this one and in the previous one. And, yeah, it can get tedious, but once you get used to it, it's real easy to use.

beto diaz there's an option that you can make the ring automatic, but you won't get a chance to get 25% bonus damage when you hit the red area in the ring

You miss my point. If the video was named like: SH3 Final Boss~ it would have been fine and harmless. But to include the actual name of the boss in the video name... Imagine a popular reviewer putting out a video when P4 came out like : Final Boss Fight~ ADACHI. I wonder what would have happened haha
