7:30 There's only one reference in the Hebrew Bible which perhaps references a covenant that God had with Adam, but it's way later in Hosea 6 (so we've got to deal with a long time period in-between where new thoughts and opinions arose). But the issue even in Hosea is that it's not even clear if it's saying Adam transgressed a covenant, or if it's just referring to current Israelite disobedience by disobeying in the way Adam did it (God gave a clear set of rules, it was disobeyed... and Adam's one transgression was enough). It's not even clear if Hosea is actually referring to Adam, as the Hebrew word can mean "Adam" (as a proper name) or just simply "man" or "men" in general. In my study of covenants, I tend to keep Adam and the garden off the list (but I understand people that include it). The Hebrew word for covenant (berith) isn't used in the texts about Adam and the garden in Genesis (there's no problem with Noah and Abraham, it's used a lot in those conversations). It seems to me that God simply expected Adam to do as he was told. There was no deal, no trade, no covenant. God just told him to take care of everything and rule the earth, there wasn't a two-sided explanation of it (i.e. you do this, I will do that). It was simply an expected task. God gave Adam a divine mandate over the earth and did not give any stipulations for failure. It was more of a divine command than a covenantal agreement. Anyways, just my thoughts for anyone that cares to read.
