My Mom used this song on repeat to teach me to slow dance for the girls in 1971. I loved it then and still do in April 2022. My Mom is gone but I think of her when I hear this master piece. I also would as a very young boy in 1959 put down my toys and follow the piano, I later learned to play it on piano and organ!!!

Max Steiner, composer. Nobody mentions him! Percy Faith conducted the orchestra, but there would be nothing to conduct without the composer's brilliant melody!

"Love Is Blue" by Paul Mauriat might be a distant second best with 5 weeks at #1, from Feb. 10-Mar. 9, 1968.
