This was the finale to the Anderson University Jazz Ensemble Christmas concert 2012. The song is the theme from Peter Gunn, composed by Henry Mancini.

I believe this is one of the most creative renditions of Peter Gunn I've ever heard. And, especially by such young talents! Nicely done.

That was fantastic, watching young men playing great music and enjoying it. Ad lib solos, a dual. It had the lot. Kudos to the two teachers for producing it.

Certainly not the typical instrument mix (especially with no trumpets) but still gets the job done very well. Actually, I think this is the coolest Mancini song and would probably sound great with a Kazoo band.

Just noticed no trumpets or cornets in the ensemble! They seem to get along fine without them, though.

Dale Andrews yeah, we didn’t have a trumpeter sign up for jazz band that year.
