The plot was forced, specifically anything involving Adam Warlock or the flesh space station. The choop choop kids and the animals in cages and the robotic friends of Rocket were there to manipulate the audience's emotions. Cute kids and animals always works to soften the critic in our hearts. Drax never fully became a solid character because James Gunn and the various writers over the years wanting him as comic relief instead of a father overcoming the loss of his family. Mantis finally gets fleshed out as a good sister for Quill, which is cool, but I would've liked to have seen this version of her in Infinity War for a bit. Instead of revealing her being Quill's sister in a holiday special not everyone watched. Gamora finally acts like the fiercest woman in the galaxy, but why? The version of Gamora we see in Endgame is just a week younger version of the Gamora from Guardians 1. So why is she such a dick now? Daddy issues with Thanos? We don't know. The film doesn't tell us. Nebula really deserved more screen time. Star Lord seems like he hasn't matured all that much, he's still emotionally stunted, and I understand dealing with Ego, losing Yondu, losing Gamora, vanishing and coming back to reality, and meeting a "new" Gamora is insane... but I wish he had grown a little more. He deals with loss with music and alcohol and brash actions without planning. You would think after all this time something might change, but no. Rocket's backstory is great, but I would have liked to see glimpses of this in Vol. 2. When he was with Yondu. That way when he stops being a self destructive dick to his new friends out of fear, it makes more sense. In this one, it feels like a last minute revenge story against his maker. Also not enough current day Rocket Raccoon. Most of his scenes were baby Rocket. Also, not a memorable score. And the worst soundtrack out of all 3. Poorly placed too might I add. I think only 3 of the 17 or so songs worked well with what was on screen.

I kind of hope not honestly as I want it to be guardians of the galaxy Vol 3 and not asgardians of the galaxy as only one of the members is asgardian and it would just suck if they made Thor the focus and forget about the rest of the team especially rocket as he has some incredible character development over the last few films

Unfortunately, Marvel is notoriously bad at maintaining a consistent theme to represent their franchises, so this probably won't happen. Gotg2 will probably replace this theme with something totally different, just like how each Iron Man film has a completely different Iron Man theme.
