Went to Alton towers today, longest we waited was 10 mins for Rita. Managed to get on pretty much everything twice!

Apocalypse is such a fabulous ride! I couldn’t imagine the park without it. When I think Drayton Manor, I think Apocalypse.

My childhood Theme Park! Will always have a place in my heart for Drayton Manor. Back when my summer holidays consisted of a trip to Drayton Manor with the Summer School, Alton Towers with the family and American Adventure with family and friends (before it closed)

I’m going Alton Towers on Friday for the first time since a year 9 school trip back in July 2008.

I went to Drayton mid August and waited an hour for Maelstrom and an hour for Accelerator but I'm glad Drayton are getting lots of guests back in the park! :)

I’ll be going to Drayton manor before I start work at the end of this month, looking forward to going on air race and accelerator mainly as well as a few others😎

I think a Gravity Group family wooden coaster would fit very well in this park, something along the lines of Kentucky Flyer at Kentucky Kingdom or Wood Express at Parc Saint Paul. It would fit well in the park's family market but also would please coaster enthusiasts with the fun pops of airtime that these GG family coasters deliver.

Back in 2017 I hated this park but when the new company bought it it is one of my favourite in the uk

Your witty funny sense of humour banter makes these blogs more fun as I know I've mentioned this loads of times before but your funny sense of humour cheesy jokes always crack me up everytime lol, I agree with your observations about Drayton Manor with an Octoberfest they could really enhance their park with so much potential adding that extra fun factor vibe to it. Have you mentioned the Octoberfest to Drayton. It's nice when the parks ain't too busy as you get to explore the different attractions animals. As for my local zoo being zoo members Me my folks including our friends had such a great time at our local zoo as we were entering @3pm whilst the other guests were departing to go home, we more or less had the entire zoo to ourselves wow it was awesome we got to to see the animals having down time watching them being fed, watered as the keepers interacting with the animals getting them settled for bed it was amazing interesting to see the after care being provided

I went to Drayton Manor yesterday (on a Monday) and at the start of the day I went on Maelstrom and went straight on. I also went straight on to Shockwave. But as the day went it got busier which is expected. Towards the end of the day some of the rides were closed for some reason (e.g a child pressed a button which stopped Apocalypse and someone was sick on the Accelerator). To be honest it was more quiet than I expected and I went on Maelstrom 6 times throughout the day due to the queues being so short so that was great.

I’d love to see a Vekoma Mine Train, heavily themed, bit like Thunder Mountain at Disney with that kind of intensity

mack spinning coaster would be a good fit for drayton manor and even through the park and looking into the family market i'd say that drayton manor could do with 1 more thill ride and get a Vekoma space warp which will nicely round out the parks offering.

Drayton manor is such a underrated park and it is amazing to see them putting Investments in it

Honestly I would say that a Gerstlauer Spinning coaster or Bobsled coaster would a great fit for the park. I would also like to give a shoutout to ART Engineering's family launch coaster model they just debuted this year in Austria, as something that could work really well here. Obviously a family woody would be the dream but I don't know how realistic that is. Great vlog as always Shawn!

Obv Drayton will go with a Cheaper Manufacturer. I feel like if they work with Zamperla they can easily fill the gaps in the line up 1.Yes they have Troublesome,I feel like they need something tamer like a my first coaster. I can easily see a Wacky Worm, Zamperla Kiddie Coaster,or even that new Skyline Attractions Kiddie Coaster) 2.Sit Down looping coaster that isn't intense, more of like my first upside-down coaster 3.Vekoma Suspended Family 4. Zamperla Spinning coaster

Great vlog Shawn. I don’t think I have seen Drayton Manor so quite. What a luxury to just be able to walk straight on a ride. I think judging by the fact the park is family themed another dark ride would be beneficial.👍👍👍

I remember the Thomas character themes when I was little as I sang Toby’s song on this. Very good about fireworks at Drayton Manor. Anyway, make sure you and Shawn get out there and keep on riding. 😊

Visited Drayton Manor on a Friday in early June in 2021 when kids were still in school- wasn’t too busy

I've never actually ever been to Drayton Manor, it looks like such a fun park with so many different fun attractions including the zoo. However as for you Shawn I love watching your blogs with your epic cheesy cheeky jokes, we both share a very witty funny sense of humour as I can relate with you to most of the things that are funny on your blogs.

I think it would be great to retheme the area around apocalypse and pandemonium to government facility that has projects like area 51 . They could rename pandemonium to project 360 or something like that and repaint it to black grey and green and rename drunken barrels to toxic barrels and the barrels has green toxic liquid for a design. The lady at the front would turn into a scientist holding beakers and test tubes. Let me know what you think , i legit thought of that idk why lol

Think a Mack family launch coaster would fit really well. Or a small Gravity Group woodie, which would fit really well between Accelerator and Shockwave

Going to Drayton manor on Saturday and Alton towers the day after for the long September weekend and if the queues are gonna be like this it’s gonna be a breeze

Hopefully, Thorpe Park will be this quiet when I go at the end of the month

We’ve just been to Drayton today! What a fantastic park, adventure cove is really amazing! Walk on queues for everything too!

We went August 19th and the queues sucked! The drop tower was the highlight of the day! I usually hate them but I'm a changed man now. That was a real thrill!

We were there this Monday, 13th September, soooo quiet really nice to see the place getting a but of a face lift.

VERY surprised to see they opened the Rapids again, a young girl from my city died on that ride a few years ago which was very upsetting, I assumed they would have closed it for good after that.

I think them markings are maybe for another entrance plaza as that’s now the entrance for the hotel guests and overflow car park. Not happy that with a annual pass now you get half price fireworks offer and got to pay to see Santa and his show when in 2019 they were all included.

Loved what they've done with the park so much when we went last month that we bought Annual passes. I really hope they replace the Buffalo with another coaster. It takes up a lot of prime space, and as much as my son loves it, I find it so uncomfortable to ride.

Personally, I feel a Vekoma Space Warp (like Formula at Energylandia) or Family Suspended Coaster across the water (like Orkanen at Fårup Sommerland) would do wonders for the park

We went recently it was ok... Not many adult rides there but yeah we went on back row of shockwave and it smashed our heads against the harnesses a few times it hurt

One of the few theme parks I haven't done but would love to see a wooden coaster there similar to megafobia at Oakwood.

Going to Alton Towers Scarefest with colleage on the week soon. Can't wait!! Drayton Manor is the most nostalgic place in the country for me. My first theme park. I remember riding Pirate adventure. Was terrified for the Drop lol. A quiet park is a great park (excluding economic stats lol)
