I think they need to emphasise the fact that since he was born in 94 and joined in 2010 he was only 16 when he joined bighit! And only 19 when they debuted with him as the leader. He took on so many responsibilities and stress at a young age and the others really appreciate him for that. So the thing I love about Namjoon is how he works so hard to be a better person, educating himself and working to be a better influence on others while at the same time being just an adorable humble guy. In the beginning of the video, RM told his mom he was going to PC rooms (PC bangs in Korean), but instead, was going to Hongdae to rap. PC rooms are basically the Korean version of arcades but filled with nothing but row after row of computers and monitors. They're usually clean, HUGE monitors, amazing computers, comfy computer chairs. You pay a set amount per hour (usually a few dollars) at the door, go in, and do/play/study whatever you want. The internet service in Korea is the best in the world. They even have menus where you can order food and drinks from your desk, and the employees deliver it to you. Not gourmet food, but good street food type stuff. Some people can spend the entire day in there.

Our rap line has gone through a lot of hate and criticism bc they're authentic rappers who decided to take a chance in becoming idols. They've been hated on by both the idol kpop world and the hip hop/rap world. One of the things I love most about Namjoon is his ability to grow from his past and mature even when he was under so much pressure and judgment and hatred. For example; There is so much toxic masculinity in the hip-hop scene (and just in society in general) and so much pressure to act a certain way and I think namjoon used to feel that pressure when he was first starting out especially bc so many people in hip-hop (including his old friends or people he made music with/performed with) were judging him and he felt alienated but I'm so glad he's moved past that. With toxic masculinity it's (sadly) seen as an insult if you imply that someone is gay and even if you don't believe being gay is a bad thing, you know that person meant it as an insult to you (usually only based in stereotypes) and you get defensive and sometimes even hurt by it since the person is using it as an insult and using it to try and degrade you and suggest you are less respectable or "less of a man" (total bullsh*t but that's how society is sadly). I think a lot of people deal with this (even people who are actually lgbt. one of my best friends who's gay even experienced this. It can happen to anyone) especially when they are younger and it takes a lot of strength and maturity to say that you don't care about how people see you or how they judge you or what assumptions they make about you. those people who were interviewing him were ignorant and judgmental (and older then both namjoon and yoongi so they should have known better) and even said that them wearing makeup was like them being girls.. which is almost funny to me because I recently watched an old James Bond movie and I could tell he had makeup on. It wasn't the same style of makeup obviously but he did have foundation and his eyebrows (badly) filled in to make them darker and more pronounced and I'm guessing he had some light lipstick or lip tint so his lips didn't look pale and showed up better on camera. and James Bond is seen as one of the most "manly men" ever. I'm proud of namjoon and I love seeing how much he's grown as a person and how much he's matured. He's always trying to improve himself and learn from his mistakes and better himself and it's so inspiring to see.. I think him making mistakes and learning how to improve himself and better himself from them makes him a better role model then someone who has never made any mistakes. That's one of the things I love most about him :)

i think it’s not a characteristic but more like his ability! i really adore his skill in language and literature. i got so caught up in his wordplay, not only when he’s writing lyrics but also when he is delivering speech. he also has a good public speaking skill with a unique charisma that makes everyone listens to what he says and i appreciate that a lot. he’s that type of guy that i would like to introduce to my parents as my fiance🤣 he’s not only boyfriend material, but he’s husband material for sure!
