This footage was taped at the Kilburn Theatre in London on December 23rd, 1974. It was then aired on The Midnight Special in April 1975. The Faces played their last show on November 1st, 1975.

They played that last show in Montreal and it was one of the best shows I was ever at. I will never forget the Montreal Symphony Orchestra rising up from the back of the stage when they played Angel. That memory has lasted my lifetime.

Classic! I'm one of Rod's most devoted fans, for over 50 years. April '75 ... one of their last performances, as Rod Stewart & The Faces, before Woody joined the Rolling Stones just 2 months later.

Saw Rod Stewart several times myself back in the 70s. What a show, he would throw the mic up and put on a show, got our money's worth for about 7.50 or 8.50. 😅😅now it was 1200. To see the Eagles

I ❤️adore❤ how Rod pulls Ronnie up to the front. Then, Rod thinks his part is over and tries to walk off stage and someone tells him to go back out 😅😅 ahhhh, the 70s were amazing 😅😅
@awarewolves17124 ай бұрын
Me too. It's really touching. This was the end of Faces, Rod was going solo, and Ronnie was joining the Stones. There's a genuine affection between the two, and it shows, and it seems so strange today when every gesture is calculated and choreographed to elicit a certain response from an audience of people who aren't really there, watching through their screens and thinking how to post it, what to edit, what to text, what the dummies will think of the post, and what they'll text, and a witty group response with a screenshot or some other stupid thing.... I mean the 80's were great, the 90's.... social media has screwed everyone up.

Sadly the writing was on the wall Tetsu was a great bassist but the spark between him and Ronnie wasn’t there like it was between Ronnie Lane and Ron Wood and once Rod met Britt he changed I wish they’d carried on a bit longer but like many bands they came they gave us 4 or 5 years and it had to end better they stopped while they were still great than limped on into the 80’s like Quo who just lost everything they were by the end of the decade
