Fun fact: Power Rangers is an adaptation of a Japanese show called Super Sentai, this particular Season being adapted from Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger in which the Yellow Ranger is a guy.

Rita Repulsa is everything. A camp queen, she's like a live action Queen Beryl. The Daniels did a Power Rangers inspired photoshoot with Jennifer Coolidge for Vanity Fair. So cool. Can't wait to see what other tv pilots you watch.

So all the scenes not showing the actual teenage actors are just taken from a Japanese show. It was cheaper to license that than shoot it all. That’s why it’s so confusing and why Rita’s voice doesn’t match her mouth lmao

The fact so many guys were literally OBSESSED with the yellow and pink ranger was almost unhealthy but when it comes to yellow ranger I definitely got it she was so pretty to me. The best parts is when they morph together our childhood was actually pretty lit lol

Try seeing this at age 7 in 93 when it premired. 4 to 12, we were obsessed for years. I wanted everything Powe Rangers for Christmas for years. Jason was my first crush and gay awakening.

i grew up with this version and the promo and hype was INSANE back in the day. it was airing alongside shit like beast wars and everything had to have giant robots fighting with explosions. i think its honestly why i like mecha so much

Yeah, man it was a fun ride for sure. I remeber watching this series on VHS back during my childhood and always loved it ever since then. Funny enough, most of the main actors were actually in their late teens to early adulthood.

THIS MADE MY NIGHT!! Good lord, I had SUCH A HUGE CRUSH on Jason. This came out when I was in 8th grade. I’d watch it every morning before heading to school. We little 1993 tweens used to talk about how hot the Red Ranger was. But when TOMMY came on (RIP to the actor)…too much hotness for me. 😂😂

Jason/Red Ranger was always my favorite and the one I’d want to be. Realistically if I were a power ranger I wouldn’t be an efficient leader. If not Red, probably Black or Green.

They had to use a lot of Japanese footage they used like 3 episodes from the super sentai series just for this episode. All the bad guys scene and fight scenes with suits are from super sentai.

No, he's still around. He quit the show because the crew treated him like shit for it. Basically just walked off and didn't come back. Jason David Frank is the one who 'self-deleted', sadly. And it was recent.
